An Excellent Compensation Management Solution

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our organization uses CompAnalyst across the enterprise. The system houses all of our market composites, salary surveys, internal job information, employee data, and job descriptions. Our HR Partners have access to CompAnalyst to search for and export job descriptions and other compensation data. CompAnalyst has allowed our organization to create a "one stop shop" for compensation management, and the software has reduced the amount of time we spend on survey management while increasing the amount of time we can spend providing strategic direction to the business.

Pros

  • CompAnalyst's Job Architect revolutionizes job description management. The job description process lives within the software from conception through completion. Workflows allow job descriptions to be edited and reviewed by users and non-users throughout the organization, and you can search for related tasks and responsibilities within Job Architect.
  • Our Customer Success Manager and Professional Services Consultant are responsive, knowledgeable, and available to address our questions and concerns. Having a dedicated team of compensation experts helps us have the best possible experience.
  • As one of the first compensation management software solutions in the market, CompAnalyst excels in managing survey data and market composites. The system is intuitive and user-friendly, and the development team is always looking for new ways to enhance system functionalities.

Cons

  • I would like to see additional customization options in the software's application widgets.
  • Some competitors offer the ability for customers to see real-time pay data from their customer base. This is a feature I would like to see in CompAnalyst.
  • Some user interfaces in the software still need to be updated, but the team is doing an excellent job rolling out new features and updating the tool.

Likelihood to Recommend

I highly recommend considering CompAnalyst if you're looking to take your compensation function to the next level. If you're looking to create a "one stop shop" for your compensation needs, then this is the software for you. You can easily manage job descriptions and survey data, and you can empower your HR teams to find information in the tool by giving them access to specific areas of the site. The system can be configured to fit the needs of your organization.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It is used in the Human Resources Department. We use it as one of our survey sources to market price our jobs. We also use it for geographical differentials and bonus information.

Pros

  • It can find job matches that some industry surveys do not have.
  • It can always get data for a position.
  • It is easy to use.

Cons

  • LTIP STI information is needed in more detail.
  • It needs more detailed job descriptions for level differentiation.

Likelihood to Recommend

Well suited as an add on to validate market surveys. I do not use it as my main survey source. Can typically get data when other surveys are lacking. Always a good starting point for a market analysis. System is easy to use and fast.

CompAnalyst is used "BY" our Human Resources Team, but it is "FOR" the entire organization. We needed a tool to help us benchmark our internal comp structure with those in our region, as well as others within our industry.

Pros

  • It allows us to benchmark our internal comp structure and design effective comp ranges.
  • CompAnalyst allows us to benchmark our internal compensation with others in our industry.
  • Allows us to market our comp ranges within a region, or across the US.
  • Most of our job titles can be found within CompAnalyst.

Cons

  • Bonus structures are not always clearly defined.
  • More job titles within our industry would be helpful.
  • More frequent updates

Likelihood to Recommend

Medium size organizations, with mostly standard roles across the company will find plenty of uses for the tool. Some industry-specific roles are not always found.
