What is Conspecta?

Conspecta is a browser-based platform for life science research. Image analysis, flow cytometry, molecular biology, sample tracking, and publication-ready figures all live in one connected workspace.

Every result keeps a memory of where it came from. A sample carries the images taken of it and the results that came out of them. A figure remembers which data produced it. Tracing a number back to its source is a click rather than a search, because the chain was recorded as the work happened. Those same links are what let a scientist's own AI assistant read across an entire project.

Plan the work
Projects are laid out on a planner board with tasks, subtasks, and dependencies. A written protocol can be started as a recorded run, so every step is timed and ticked off as it happens, and the finished run stays attached to the results it produced.

Run the lab
Samples carry their storage location, their plate position, and the specimens they came from, so any well can be traced back to its source. Freezers, shelves, and boxes are mapped in the facility workspace, which also covers instrument booking, downtime, and service records. Inventory tracks stock levels with lot and expiry dates, and purchasing runs from request through order to receipt alongside a shared supplier list.

Analyze your data
Image analysis covers cell counting, colony counting, area coverage, and fluorescence intensity, and reads LIF, TIFF, PNG, and JPEG. Flow cytometry handles gating and compensation on FCS files, dimensionality reduction, and population statistics that land in a table rather than a screenshot. The genetics workspace covers plasmid maps, sequence annotation, alignment, primer design, and cloning.

Communicate results
The lab notebook links to the images, flow data, samples, and figures behind a page. Data tables are a spreadsheet grid where a cell can be a real sample and a whole table can feed a chart. Figures are composed in the browser as multi-panel, publication-ready layouts, with every panel still pointing at the analysis that produced it.

Working together
Several people can edit the same notebook, planner, or data table at the same time, each with a live cursor. Elsewhere, results carry comment threads and sign-off, and every record keeps a history of who changed it and when.

Who it fits
Academic labs where imaging and flow cytometry drive the work, core facilities and CROs reporting results back to the groups they serve, and new PIs or early-stage biotech teams setting up a lab from scratch.
