Constellix is a subsidiary of Tiggee, the creators of DNS Made Easy , and the provider of IP Anycast enterprise DNS services. Constellix is an Internet Traffic Optimization (ITO) company dedicated to providing next-generation traffic management solutions. The Constellix GeoDNS platform offers the most powerful and precise DNS query management, engineered for the cloud. The platform is fully integrated with Constellix Sonar, which offers a range of advanced monitoring features and intelligent analytics tools.

Our query reporting breaks down your usage by day for each of your domains and compares GeoDNS queries to your standard query usage.
See which records are being queried the most in real-time! You can also filter historical query data by record type, name, location, or IP version. This tool is excellent for identifying traffic anomalies, like DDoS attacks.
We offer a full suite of network monitoring services that we call Sonar. Sonar can be used as a standalone service or in tandem with our DNS services; like our Traffic Steering solution, which combines Real-User Monitoring data with synthetic monitoring metrics to inform traffic steering decisions in real-time.
Version Control with Rollback: Compare and revert the commit history of your domain. Each version contains an account of all record changes and gives you the ability to create historical domain recovery. If you make a mistake you are able to roll back to the previous. You can keep notes that are assigned to each committed change to keep track of your work overtime and compare up to two different commit versions side-by-side.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Constellix to serve DNS for several of our domains. We were long time customers of DNS Made Easy, but needed some features that weren't available. We switched to Constellix to take advantage of ANAME records, which are essentially flattened CNAME records.

Pros

  • Resiliency, they claim to have very little downtime and so far we haven't experienced any
  • ANAME Records, we haven't experienced any issues as IP addresses behind the target CNAME records have changed.

Cons

  • Nothing I would change. The admin interface is straightforward and easy to use.
