Easy way to update content and add translation. Usage of Contentful apis to manage entries is also handful for our business case. Contentful webhooks integrated with Buildkite api allowed us to run builds to generate static pages. Lastly we’ve used Contentful studio for composed layouts, this was a game changer since the marketing team was able to generate new pages without any development involved.

It is a robust tool for content management, translations, and powerful templating tools. As well as, can be integrated with several tools throughout webhooks.

We use Contentful as a headless CMS for clients which want an enterprise grade platform without the enterprise cost of entry. Contentful solves the use of complex content structures in simple and powerful way to expose content across platforms whilst empowering marketeers to build rich experience. The recent additions of a true visual editor and integrations with Ninetailed ensure we can meet the capabilities of platforms which cost many tines more.

It's a great all rounder for content projects. It's easy in the basics and powerful in the complex, data heavy scenarios.

Extending the platform is straightforward and the SDK gives you everything you need.

If you have many many varying content types , it gets expensive and perhaps not the best choice .

We use Contentful as the CMS to service our public and private sales websites, and have created components to act as orchestration tools to call on other relevant services to complete our ecommerce processes. This means our scope is pretty large with ~10K average daily users and spikes as high as 900K daily users.

Contentful was best suited for applications or instances where there were going to be long periods without significant changes or additions to the content models used within the application.

I saw Contentful struggle to keep up with our ecommerce use case for a long time as we were constantly having to adapt our use case to fit other teams requests.

Contentful has been used this year to assist in compiling specific images to utilize in vast quantities from sellers. It has made accessing the images easy and straightforward versus having to rely on a multitude of different platforms or email communications. I would recommend this platform for multi user businesses.

Well suited for our needs of multiple images for auto auctions from a variety of sellers. Pointing them to one platform is easier than attempting to use a variety of platforms as we were doing before (email, slack, Dropbox and google drive would randomly be used by a variety of employees )

It helped to create content layer of our digital business. It also helped the marketing globally with the help of localization. It is useful when one wants to create reusable digital content. Simplifies content coordination and distribution across various channels. Provides role-based access management and workflows, and also ensures content is discoverable.

Useful when you have different kinds of content in large set. Quick publishing of multiple content at a time. Not useful when you have a lesser number of content having low update frequency. Not useful when there is no customer involvement on your digital eCommerce site. It is not useful when an organization doesn't want to do the branding of their new launches.

To work with multiple platforms, Contenful allows me to manage unified content and publish it through my organization's platforms, making it easier for me to have a single point of control and change. Being a web platform, being able to work from anywhere or any device and keeping my website, e-commerce and internal sales platform updated, has been the most beneficial for the organization.

We use it for our thought leadership blog and for our direct marketing pages including gated content. In addition, we create a pathway for our users to login to our product.

Contentful is well suited for folks who want a simple, clean, easy-to-use interface for a JAVASCRIPT website. If you do not want a javascript website you should look [elsewhere].

We're currently using Contentful to help manage our documentation, marketing, and some internal data management. It's used by the product, marketing, and customer success teams. Contentful helps different departments coordinate when it comes to external messaging. This is particularly important when we need to provide a means for non-technical teams to update content without needing to rely on the developers to deploy it.

Likelihood to Recommend

Contentful is good to use in teams with varying levels of technical proficiency that will need to allow non-technical members easy access to update content and have the time/ability to integrate Contentful into their product. Contentful can be a bit of work to implement initially but it will save time in the long run as marketers/etc. are able to push updates without needing to do backend deployments. Don't use Contentful as a substitute database, it's not built for such cases (e.g. requests for content can be slow - in fact, you may need caching to help with that). Also, if you require a large number of models you'll hit limits and could quickly face higher prices.

Contentful is our main platform for managing all web content except for our blog, so we use it very heavily. It provides a great way for our employees that know little to nothing about coding to be able to access, change, and modify content as if they were coding experts. This makes Contentful well worth it for us.

Contentful is very effective at managing simple content, such as a glossary, or different tabs of our website. However, we have found it ill-suited to manage more complicated pages, such as our login page, or others that are a bit more heavy on the coding end. Overall, it is worth what it costs our company.

Contentful is the back end to our website, we use it to make changes, improvements, and updates on our content. We have used other website CMS services to edit content, all of which are not as intuitive as Contentful, so we were really glad our website developer provided us with this software for on-going changes. From updating photos to written content, Contently keeps track of everything. For example, should you need to revert any changes, you can just pick and choose which version to return to and publish.

When I started working at FSR, marketing was utilizing another CMS which was very hard to navigate, when we switched to Contentful I really liked how intuitive it was compared to other CMS applications. The ease it gives you when it comes to shaping the mages in your online content in a simpler way is great. When making content updates it is very simple finding the portions where the text is placed in order to adjust it. Overall, a huge improvement from other CMS services we've used before.
