What is Cvent Attendee Hub?

Cvent Attendee Hub (formerly CrowdCompass) is a browser-based and mobile Event Engagement Platform that delivers the attendee-facing experience layer for in-person, virtual, and hybrid events. The platform operates as a distinct module within the broader Cvent Event Marketing and Management suite, providing content delivery, structured networking, and real-time interaction tools accessible before, during, and after an event.

Key Capabilities
  • Session Engagement Tools: Live Q&A, polling, session chat, and discussion threads are embedded directly into the session viewer. Attendees interact with speakers and other participants without leaving the session context. Push notifications and activity feeds surface updates in real time.
  • Personal Agenda & Appointment Scheduling: Attendees construct and manage individual schedules from the available session catalog. The scheduling module enforces capacity limits and session access rules configured by the event organizer. Attendees may also request and confirm 1:1 appointments with other attendees, sponsors, or exhibitors; confirmed appointments appear within the same unified schedule view.
  • Content Delivery & Video: The platform supports live streaming, Video on Demand (VOD), and simulcasting. Pre-recorded and live sessions are accessible through an on-demand catalog. Presentations and supporting files are attached at the session level for post-session retrieval.
  • Exhibitor & Sponsor Management: Virtual exhibitor booths provide exhibitors with a dedicated profile page, lead capture through badge scanning or app interactions, and appointment-scheduling access to attendees. The platform surfaces exhibitor tiers (e.g., sponsorship levels) in featured listings on the event homepage.
  • Attendee Engagement Scoring & Analytics: Organizers access per-attendee engagement scores derived from session attendance, content interaction, networking activity, and exhibitor contact. Report outputs identify which sessions and tactics generated the highest participation signals.
  • CventIQ™ Personalization Engine: An embedded behavioral analysis module — CventIQ™ — surfaces session recommendations and generates daily event summaries for individual attendees based on their schedule history and interaction patterns. The module also includes an automated note-taking feature that produces session summaries for individual attendees.
  • Branded Web Experience Builder: Organizers construct a custom-branded event website using a card-based layout editor. Homepage sections (featured sessions, featured speakers, exhibitor listings, discussion threads) are individually configurable and can be toggled by event phase (pre-event, live, post-event).
  • Mobile Event App: A native Event App component syncs sessions, speakers, and exhibitor data from the event backend automatically. Navigation tabs are configurable by the organizer, and attendees use a QR code check-in flow (via Cvent OnArrival integration) directly from the app.
  • Access Control: Event content can be restricted to registered attendees. Attendee contact visibility is governed by individual opt-in consent settings, not a blanket organizer override.
  • CRM & Marketing Automation Integration: Engagement data captured within Attendee Hub — including session attendance, exhibitor interactions, and appointment completions — exports to connected CRM and Marketing Automation systems.

Audience & Use Cases
Audience: Event planners, Field Marketing managers, Demand Generation teams, and conference operations staff at mid-market and enterprise organizations. Also relevant for exhibitors and sponsors who use the platform's lead-capture and appointment-scheduling features.

Use Cases:
  • Hybrid conference delivery requiring synchronized in-person and virtual attendee experiences under a single content and networking surface
  • Large trade shows and association conferences requiring exhibitor booth management, appointment brokering, and real-time session interaction at scale
  • Internal corporate events (sales kickoffs, all-hands) where organizers need a branded mobile and web surface, controlled access, and post-event engagement reporting
