Evernote has priced themselves out of the market for me and my business.

Rating: 4 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I used to love Evernote for business and personal to document anything and everything, I had a paid plan but then the amount went up dramatically. I feel that Evernote has priced themselves out of the market. I now use notion.app. I can write my notes and search for notes later, so far it is working well. Once I went to Free Evernote, I was bombarded to sign back up for a mere yearly fee of $159 if I do personal and $209 if I do business (of course they offer a lower one-time deal that will go away ...but oddly enough I see it again and again). In my opinion, it's not worth the value I get from the tool nor the hassle of the pop-ups to buy the product.

Pros

  • Searchable content
  • Easy to write notes
  • Easy to upload a document

Cons

  • Pricing
  • Hassling customer to purchase a paid plan
  • Too many pop-ups when not on a paid plan

Likelihood to Recommend

The reason I give it a 4 is I had a larger business operation I might find it a valuable tool but being a small business owner, just not worth the dollars.

Good for taking notes and organizing your thoughts!

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

To take notes and organize thoughts. I use it for projects and ensuring that I keep the most up to date information available. It is a great sourcing tool between teammates. It is also a great organization tool for having information that needs to be relayed quickly.

Pros

  • Organize notes
  • Take Notes
  • Organize folders
  • Keep subtasks
  • task lists
  • templates

Cons

  • Sharing information
  • Ipad capabilities
  • Mobile information

Likelihood to Recommend

I think it is best suited for personal use in its current state. I do think that it could be used as a live document source eventually, but they aren't quite there. I used it quite a bit for school and organizing different classes and do a similar approach with my projects now as a professional.

Evernotes, best collaborative Note Taker for Small Teams.

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Evernote is the most effective tool for creative thinking in our company. Our initial goal is to examine potential ideas before anybody starts working on the project. People may readily submit their thoughts and trade them with one another without fear of losing their distinctive content. Evernote's design concepts encourage users to arrange their material into lists and to write in handwritten form. One benefit of these design concepts is the possibility to combine notes with other programs such as Microsoft Teams or email sharing.

Pros

  • Beautiful notes may be created with the help of an intuitive user interface that offers a wide range of color schemes, typefaces, and layouts.
  • Your notes are always at your fingertips, no matter where you are.
  • Even scanned papers may be quickly and accurately found using the powerful note-searching capabilities of the app.
  • Keeping track of meetings makes it possible to work in groups and collaborate.

Cons

  • Premium plan is expensive.

Likelihood to Recommend

Evernote is a fantastic tool for managing material that you need to be able to access across several platforms since it syncs across all of your devices. This is best suited for collaborative note-taking for small groups, not large groups. With Evernote, I can not only edit the file from any device with a web browser, but you can also access your files offline through the desktop app for Windows and Mac.

One stop manager

Rating: 7 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I got to know about this app when I first procured my smartphone. It is a one-stop solution for all your needs in today's fast-moving life for organizing, task management, saving your ideas, etc. It helps us manage meetings, archive notes of all meetings, take notes both through typing as well as audio, even text in photographs is also recognized which is of great help and avoids retyping of handwritten notes.

Pros

  • Ease of data entry - through typing, recording of voice notes, image capture.
  • Data can be stored, easily accessed and edited.
  • Help in organizing from saving boarding pass to your meeting notes, to do list, etc.

Cons

  • Free account has limitation of 60mb per month which can be increased to increase customer base.
  • Notes can not be accessed while offline browsing.
  • Premium accounts can be made cheaper to enable more users to access the feature of this app.

Likelihood to Recommend

Evernote is apt for small businesses or I would say people for managing day-to-day life who can manage with a free account. Its premium account is pretty expensive and better options are available who are offering more options than Evernote.

"Easy Note-Taking With Evernote For Our Team"

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

A small group of people only uses Evernote within our company. It serves both as a place for group brainstorming and keeping track of daily tasks. Using it, we've been able to collaborate and brainstorm from anywhere. Evernote is easy to integrate with other apps, making it even more portable. We got what we wanted because I enjoy writing notes, and this program does just that. This program allows us to centralize all of our data. This program is ideal for project managers and users who use multiple devices to access their notes. I began posting my notes online to make them available to others.

Pros

  • Adding notebooks, tags, and shortcuts allows users to find information quickly and easily.
  • An easy-to-use interface with various colors, fonts, and formats allows users to create beautiful notes.
  • Enable group work and collaboration by keeping track of meetings.

Cons

  • Aesthetics of the interface and data encryption/security are dated.
  • Group chat and email management could be more accessible, but not bad.
  • Managing signed-in devices and document versioning/group editing can be tricky.

Likelihood to Recommend

Evernote is an excellent tool for keeping track of client relationships and taking notes. The indexing is excellent, with text in images and text. However, a Wiki might be better for large-scale collaboration. It is a perfect use case for it, and it is hard to beat. To-do lists that need to be tracked or have due dates assigned do not work well in Evernote. It's almost like a library that anyone can add to, edit, tag, and reference. Evernote has a limited checklist function in terms of tasks meant to be kept in one place rather than reviewed and organized over time.

Simple and easy to use

Rating: 6 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I used it for basic note-taking and project management needs. I could easily sync across devices and access it wherever I needed to.

Pros

  • Easy to use.
  • Syncs across devices.
  • It also has a lot of features (templates, tasks, tags, etc.) to accommodate different styles and breadth of complexity depending on what you're looking for from a note-taking tool.

Cons

  • The free version is fairly limited.
  • The free version is also bug-prone.
  • Upgrades are pricey.

Likelihood to Recommend

It's really helpful for simple notes and projects. Less so for complex tasks that require many collaborators and deadlines.

Amazing Tech Product across your devices

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

In my organization we have been using Evernote for the last two years and it is being currently used across multiple departments and line of businesses. The major business problem that we are trying to address using Evernote is to track everything that we do on a day to day basis. I personally use Evernote to record the date and time and the purpose of a meeting or a conference that I attend and then I used the bullet point function to keep a track of the conversations.

Pros

  • Extremely Simple to Use
  • User Interface
  • Very Cost Effective
  • Reliability
  • Browser Extensions

Cons

  • Auto save feature
  • Rare lagging
  • More features

Likelihood to Recommend

In my experience and using Evernote since along time I can very well saying that this product is extremely well suited across the devices that I use. Multi device availability is an important feature in two days era as it gives you access to your notes at the device that you are closest to it could either be a laptop or a tablet or a phone.

Simple yet effective note keeping

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Evernote helps me keep track of segments of computer code to allow me to reuse them quickly and easily. It is quick and easy to both save and access notes, and the range of note types is excellent. I recommend it to my clients as well when they are looking for a pure-play note-keeping platform.

Pros

  • Screen-grab and storage of images.
  • Sorting and searching notes.
  • Integration into other platforms, especially Mailbird!

Cons

  • The aesthetics of the interface are a bit dated.
  • Managing devices which are signed in can be difficult to navigate.
  • Managing emails and passwords could be simpler, but not too bad.

Likelihood to Recommend

Evernote is excellent for pure-play keeping notes and syncing across devices. It is great when you have a large number of clips which you will need to search through at a later time.

It is not as good for more advanced functionality like check-lists and collaboration across a team (it has a "tasks" function as a premium feature... but there are better platforms if this is important to you).

The organisation uses the Evernote Business with shared workspace and centralised billing under a single organisation account. In the time of work from home, sharing notes, decision-making charts, and tasks can be made easier through Evernote. It helps the employees to get a better understanding of others.
Also, as our organisation has a strict policy concerning privacy and security, all conversations between employee application and servers are done over SSL.

  • Shared workspace
  • Encrypted coomunication
  • Upto 20 GB/month of uploading notes, which are shared across the organisation account
  • Document Scanning

Cons

  • Can not save notes offline to 2 system
  • Can only sync data across 2 system
  • Does not support real-time collaboration on notes

Likelihood to Recommend

Can use Evernote if a person wants to share document notes across his/her family or organisation. Save important information like documents related to you (passport, visa, ID card), emergency contact info, insurance papers, and product warranties safely in Evernote, then share the notes with others in case of emergency.
However, if one wants real-time collaboration or editing of documents/notes, he/she have to look for other software.

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Evernote is suggested to use as a personal note-taking for employees. It is a step above the notes app on your mobile device. It is really good to keep a digital notebook in the cloud. It helps keep track on client progress as you can have a different page within a folder for each.

Pros

  • Searching within notes is very easy and user friendly.
  • It's simple and to the point.
  • The infinite amount of pages.

Cons

  • Group share.
  • Ability to add photos within text.
  • Clipping notes from other websites.

Likelihood to Recommend

Evernote is well suited for situations where one has to keep notes on clients and over the years you are able to track a relationship with a client. It is great for networking, I have used it in the past to keep notes on industry events to remember the individuals that I have met.
