Pros
Templates are fantastic and take very little time to create a file invite.
Ease and simplicity of communication.
Ability to send reminders to ensure needs tasks are completed.
Cons
As with many "add-on" type products that some parties may not be used to, sometimes the emails get lost and it can be hard for people who aren't used to the product to get used to a new format of communication. That said, I think it has a fairly quick learning curve for people who are even remotely tech-savvy.
Have had trouble with documents syncing from time to time.
Inability to default to different date format. This one is small, but frustrating when we need it to be in a different format.
Likelihood to Recommend
Great for smaller file sharing scenarios because while simple, it can be time-consuming to get all the forms you need to be published. I do believe for the price, you can't beat this product's functionality.

We leverage FileInvite to help with client document collection. It helps cut down on how much time we have to spend following up with the clients, but some clients complain about the automatic email reminders.
Pros
Secure file transfer service
Templates and automation are easy to use
Great reports and notification systems
Cons
Some clients complain about the number of emails they receive from the automated system.
Some tasks are more complicated than they should be.
Some clients have voiced their concerns about how complicated the system is on their end.
Likelihood to Recommend
It's a great system, but It feels like it is more complicated than it needs to be. In addition to the number of emails, the clients receive sometimes it is a little off-putting to clients. The web interface could be improved upon.
It helps to keep everyone involved in the transaction with a status of what documents are still outstanding. Easy to use, they have a great and responsive support team. The client interface allows for an easy way for clients to upload documents.
Pros
Nice and simple software.
Fairly simple from the user side.
Easy to use and communicate with clients.
Very easy to work with, excellent customer service and always available when needed.
Cons
It takes forever to delete unwanted document in my experience.
The signature never appears on the right spot and the box can't be resized.
Our problem has always been to collect dozens of documents to submit an application.
Likelihood to Recommend
I would like the search function to work from the initial dashboard, for the messages from clients to show immediately when you log in, for the forms function to be more sophisticated with great formatting, and for the reminders to have a custom reminder period (e.g. one month).
Fileinvite has solved the issue of how to send and receive sensitive information from clients in a safe and secure manner.
We purchased this software at the start of our summer season to help us with registration for our summer campers. We require anywhere from 5-8 forms and documents from parents and even more from our seasonal staff, alongside numerous vendors that we contract with throughout the summer and into the fall. Handling these various files and forms via email had become quite cumbersome so we we made the decision to try and streamline our document collection process.
Pros
Intuitive collection process for required documents and forms
E-sign for single and multiple parties is a breeze!
Outstanding integration with our existing data server to manage complete vs incomplete documents and forms
Cons
Our organization requires paper copies in addition to e-files and mass printing functionality just isn't there.
Steep learning curve on managing due dates as some clients still persist in procrastinating.
Back-door file collaboration with clients who insist on signing physical paper is a bit challenging when you can't complete forms online for the user.
Likelihood to Recommend
Our forms for summer camper parents vary depending on the needs of the camper (i.e. allergies, nutrition requirements, & program desirability such as horseback riding or preferred cabin mates). This situational form allowance is a breeze with fileinvite, and the setup process is intuitive and very easy to manage as a collaboration across our entire team.
We've recently implemented FileInvite to help with the collection of certain necessary documentation and to help our clients with the organization of certain necessary client-related tasks.
Pros
Templates for similar use cases.
Customer notifications via email and text.
Ease of access to the request list by the recipient.
Cons
I am hopeful to see more customization in the templates, such as the ability to check to include rather than delete to exclude certain items on a per-client basis.
The system allows text reminders and email reminders. There is a cost to the text reminders, but no way to send ongoing email reminders without texts if texts are enabled.
I'd like to see a way to send test invitations while fine-tuning a variety of invite types. Currently, I believe any invite goes against the # permitted for the fee paid.
Likelihood to Recommend
File invite is specifically well suited for anyone that needs to collect certain documents from their customers. I'd say loan officers specifically. However, ideally, the templates would allow for a robust list of every potential document scenario, whereby the user would just go through and mark a check next to those documents required, rather than loading the invite with every available selection and then going through to delete those that are not necessary. This is slightly more time consuming and allows for more room for error.
