The price point for both Final Cut Pro X and Premier Pro are very comparable and DaVinci Resolve is a free software but I found it to not be very user friendly.

Sometimes the price tag hurts when you haven't had a project in a few months and wish you could have saved a few hundred dollars. … Final Cut Pro X simply asks that you buy it at full price.

We use it mainly for social media promotions editing, this can include products or service and it really helps because we avoid sending it to a studio or somewhere more expensive. … Overall Final Cut Pro is a great software that gives a lot for the value.
