GoDaddy Is The Standard

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

GoDaddy helped us secure a domain for our website. Without a website, our business is not findable and loses all credibility. As a non-profit/church, our website is visited by visitors before they visit in-person. GoDaddy's domain service is essential in that for us.

Pros

  • Securing a domain
  • Makes it easy to find available domains
  • Dashboard and account features are easy to understand

Cons

  • Partnering with a website building platform, like squarespace, so that you can buy the domain & build the site within the same platform.

Return on Investment

  • Positive -- first-time guests visit our church because of our website

GoDaddy - a quick review on website hosting and managing

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use GoDaddy to host our website and manage our domains. Since this is a one-stop-shop, it makes it easy to manage and handle our domains and DNS entries.

Pros

  • Domain Searching
  • Domain Registration
  • Hosting of domains
  • Customer Service (after sales)

Cons

  • Ease of merging accounts
  • explanation of services billed - some line items are unclear of what they are and when you try to research it, there is nothing explaining what the reoccurring charge is. Have to contact customer service to get the explanation.

Return on Investment

  • Pro - We have our website up and running quickly and able to make changes quickly.
  • Con - We have had to reach out and get explanations on billing items as they are unclear as to what is actually being billed.
  • Pro - consolidated billing - once we learned we could consolidate all the accounts under one master account with the help of customer service, it made managing billing way easier and efficient.

Website Hosting, Building, and Maintaining

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use GoDaddy for managing 3 websites at this time, and I am looking to add more as well. I really like their website builder. I would say the only issue is limited design for videos (i.e. making a video the header on a page to auto-play). Overall, I am happy with the functionality, price, and user-friendly layout.

Pros

  • Website Designs.
  • Email Hosting.
  • Tracking Contact Us Forms.

Cons

  • Video.
  • Adjusting single font boxes.
  • Adjusting picture sizes.
  • Social media post and email campaign scheduling.

Return on Investment

  • Mobile Box receives several contact us forms per day but we do use Google ads too.
