Google Forms is being used across the company and by companies that I advise. It's easy to create a Google account and now with more functionalities also easier to monitor the result of submission.
  • Simple to use
  • Integrated with Google
  • Secure
  • Stable
  • Speed to Market
  • More templates
  • Native integration with other platforms
  • Possibly remove some 'small letters' in the bottom
Can be used by almost anyone since its so simple to use.
The security provided by Google also provides a scalable platform.
Some usage scenarios are school forms, feedback forms, etc.
Where to avoid its usage:
- when we want a full white label form since it is clear that its powered by Google

  • Speed to market
  • Easy to build
  • Requires Google integration
Simpler to use and mostly related with an alternative to a robust forms and questionnaire option. Many other tools are not only forms.
Because it was made to be used by almost anyone, bringing a secure and robust option.
Google provides a good support but i did not requested often.

We have been using Google Forms to keep our team goal in order and keep our notes from our meetings documented. We have found that by using Google Forms in meetings it makes it easy for even our team members in Pennsylvania to participate and review the meeting notes at a later time.
  • The UI is awesome
  • The ease of google forms is very helpful
  • The ability to access forms from anywhere is very helpful
  • I wish we could co-edit the form when we are trying to figure out what we want on it. Kind of like in Google Docs.
I think there are times that we wouldn't use it, like when we are trying to do a vote or something that people didn't want to their identity to be known. But for the times where it doesn't matter if the person is linked to their answer I think it is great.

  • The positive is that we all stay connected with our decisions
  • Google Forms has also made it much easier to come to a decision instead of constantly emailing different people to get their answers.
  • Excel
We haven't used another software like Google Forms before but we used to use Excel and type everyones' names and what they wanted. It was always a mess and took forever to get answers from everyone. If we had numbers we would tally them like when we were doing a fundraiser. Being able to total all the donation amounts was nice.
Yes
We used to use Excel to keep track of what everyone wanted and who was coming to events etc. But now with Google Forms we don't have to import it and everything is right there for us. It is the perfect substitution and makes all of our lives a lot easier. With forms being our new tool all of the data that we were collecting like who would be attending event, what type of food people wanted there, etc., increased. I think because it is so simple to use people are more likely to reply which makes everything more accurate!

The price was the biggest thing. In the club that I'm in at college we needed a good cheap program that could help us keep organized with who was coming to events etc., so being able to uses Google Forms for free was an awesome advantage. Also the usability makes Google Forms above all the other free software out there.
The only thing that I wish we did when we were deciding to use Google Forms would be that we switched sooner. Once we found this product it made everything that we needed it for so much simpler and easier to do. It actually made our data we collected a lot more accurate too. One thing that might make more people switch quicker would be the advertising of this product. Until someone came up and said why aren't you using Google Forms for this, I had no idea that such a product existed.
No
I don't have the resources to pay for premium support, I am just an intern at my company and they haven't given me that much of a budget. Same goes for my school club we don't have the money to pay for the premium support and i don't think we really need it.
I like the support and the support team is very helpful. I do wish that there was an online chat instead of email, I don't know if this has changed because I haven't needed help in a while but that is the only thing that I wish google forms would include.
No
I lost one of my forms and I couldn't figure out where to look for it. It turns out that it was just on my other Google account but the support team was very nice and didn't make me feel dumb or anything and they helped me locate the form, which ended up saving me a lot of time.
  • I think checking the responses is pretty easy
  • Adding new options, in the list is pretty easy
  • I really like how easy it is to preview what the form is going to look like
  • I had a hard time figuring out how to edit the options once I sent it out (still don't know how).
  • I wish there was an online chat to help trouble shoot things quickly.
  • The aren't enough templates, I really like the made up ones so I wish there were more.
Yes, but I don't use it
I love google forms, it is simple enough to get all the voting and attendance done that we need. I rate it this high because I have recommended it to a lot of my friends at school who run clubs. It is very user friendly and I had almost no problems with it what so ever.

Google Forms was used as for surveying our audience for an email marketing campaign, so that we could use the information to populate areas of another campaign.
  • Easy to use and customize to fit your brand
  • Good for surveys
  • Easy for survey takers to see their progress and get a good since of how much of the survey has been completed or needs to be completed
  • Could do a better job at sectioning questions. Possible to have a form with 20 questions all on one page, that could seem very overwhelming.
  • Failed to load more often than not.
  • Could be easier to customize. At the time, it was difficult to customize the form for less technical people.
I'd recommend it for short surveys. The longer the form gets, the more of a burden it may be to use.

  • For the specific campaign, the form was offputting to respondents and they were very reluctant to answer questions.
  • While I did increase response rates by 300%, the portion of the campaign which only used the Google Forms underpeformed and the increase was only after I had shifted away from the forms.
  • In general, the forms had a negative impact.
N/A. I'm not sure of similar products to Google Forms. I've always made and managed surveys myself.
Not Sure
The original concept was to hold interviews, either in person or through email. Without notice, I was told we'd be using Google Forms, though it was not productive.
  • Product Usability
The only factor in choosing Google Forms was being able to gather mass information in a more timely manner. The idea was that it would be easier and more timely for the survey takers, though that wasn't the case.
I would have used Google Forms as a secondary product, possibly just to gather basic information, like age, name, etc... and use it as a interview scheduling process versus the only/primary form of surveying/interviewing.
