Google Forms is a great option if you don't have a budget for software and you need to collect information and collect it quickly. It's also great for stakeholders who are not tech savvy as it's simple and intuitive. If you need to analyze the data or need advanced features like question logic, email communication based on data collected, then this is not the tool for you.
I use Google Forms for simple forms that are easy to use and accessible for everyone. I like the improvements they have made around the publish button and getting the responder link to clearly show it is available to anyone with the link. Easy to get all responses to a spreadsheet, and easy to insert pictures in the form.
Pros
Very easy to publish, so it's accessible to anyone with the link
Easy to edit the header, styles, and questions
Copying the previous questions is easy so you're not redoing settings each time
Cons
Some features require sign-in; would like to see a workaround for those without a Gmail account.
I wish there were an easier process for contingency questions.
Some sort of waiting list would be nice to use it for events.

Well-suited for a simple form for non-tech-savvy people. I really have no complaints about this as a free product with few limitations.
I've used Google Forms for all kinds of inquires, questionnaires, invitations, and campaigns, and it's my favorite platform. The information I tend to gather is best served with the multiple choice, short answer, and long answer options. I particularly appreciate that I can create a copy of a form I've already designed and used; it saves me so much time for recurring data gathering and questionnaires.
Pros
Types of questions
Required vs. not required toggle option
Allowing the inclusion of images
Cons
I can't think of any issues or improvements. Google Forms works fantastically for all the questionnaires (etc.) I put together.

Google Forms is wonderful for multiple applications, both in house and across clients. It is easy to use and has automations that keep me apprise of status and then organizes the results in an easy to read manner. Along with ease of use, I am able to share reporting data with my superiors in a single location, no need to redesign the outcome form the program.

Google Forms is useful in presenting information, I am able to share reporting data with my superiors from a single location, no need to redesign the outcome form the program.
Cons
It could cross reference with my accepted email clients for ease of sending to large groups.
Header information can get overwhelming due to the word vomit. Adding organization templates would be nice. different columns instead of a paragraph, for example.
wider first look into the responses would let me get a fuller preview before needing to download the results.

Works very well for pulse checks and immediate response needs. Also works for collecting information over time. Recently I have used it to collect information form teams to prepare meeting that directly address their needs.
We use Google Forms for a variety of ways in our District. Anywhere from figuring out what products to

address was our Maintenance Supplies Order.
We are able to use Google Forms to centralize it, instead of having multiple
ways that materials can be ordered.

Want to be able to have anawer go to multiple emails
We use Google Forms for our employee surveys along with fun culture activities that we want people to submit ideas or vote on various options.

Cons
I would prefer a dropdown, like if you select yes or no, it automatically requires a corresponding response based on what you select. You currently have to add in a question and make that required.

Well suited for asking people for their ideas or answers on things.
I’ve used Google Forms to collect information from clients and team members. I most recently helped a client set up a Google Forms to collect information on refunds and charge backs so that they could collect more granular data, and qualify the refund and charge back requests in real time.
Pros
Pricing - free
Usability
Connection to other Google products
Cons
Customization for the form itself
Whitelabeling for the form
Survey functionality

Overall, the price and ease of use for Google Forms really leave it no competitors in the marketplace. Anyone who needs to collect information from a predefined list of people should use Google Forms because it’s so easy to get started with and distribute. It may be less appropriate or appealing if you don’t have a group of to give the survey to yet.
I mostly use Google Forms for event RSVP forms within my department and the courses that I teach. Often times, registrants use personal email addresses when doing school or work tasks and they try to register with non-university email accounts. It has been a very easy way to make simple forms that are locked down to only people within my organization and require organization email accounts.
Pros
Forms has an easy-to-use interface for building forms. The ability to add and revise questions/question types is very intuitive.
The publishing options (generating a shareable link, shortened link, embed code) make it easy to disseminate forms to stakeholders on our campus.
Connecting form responses to a Google Sheet makes accessing data quick. Setting up automatic form notification emails for new responses is a great feature.
Cons
It would be helpful if the file upload type could be utilized when a form is stored within a Shared Drive.
It would be awesome to be able to create an RSVP form that could be linked to a calendar event that automatically adds respondents to the calendar event.
Likelihood to Recommend
Google Forms is best suited for simpler forms where there is not a need for complex survey flows. I find it best for internal data collection that are only available to those within your organization, reducing the chances of collecting responses from bots.
I used Google Forms in my role as a software support engineer to gather customer feedback on the performance of our medical image segmentation software. We and our distributors distributed the survey link to a few dozen customers, hoping to learn how our software could improve to meet customers' clinical needs.
Pros
Google Forms has a very small learning curve.
Google Forms is free, making it perfect for a startup.
Google Forms can automatically write survey responses to a GSheet for easy analysis.
Cons
It's cumbersome for respondents who don't have or aren't allowed to use a Google Account.
Customization options are limited.
The UI is a bit tacky compared to more "professional" survey tools like Qualtrics and SurveyMonkey.
Likelihood to Recommend
Google Forms is great for simple surveys, such as quick polls, but any logic beyond conditional pages is not supported. Google Forms is best used when the survey participants have and are permitted to use a Google Account to fill out the form; we ran into issues with hospital IT departments. I don't believe there's a better free tool out there than Google Forms, though.

Pros
the Flexibility
Simple interface
it is free
Cons
the variety of question form
ability to make a custom url
ability to personalize the form theme
Likelihood to Recommend
I believe that there are more specific tools can provide a form or surveys out there, the one that specialized in it. but, not everyone needs specific and high features tools. Flexibility is the best, and Google Forms is the answer, you can use it as your application form for clients, a questionnaire for your research, and many things else. finally, what makes it best is the data you gain could directly exported to google sheets which easen our task.
