Business Problems Solved
GoReact has become an essential tool for universities, offering a range of use cases across various courses and disciplines. It is widely used to facilitate the observation and grading of candidates' classroom videos, providing an efficient and cost-effective way to evaluate performance. Many users appreciate the constant innovation and evolution of GoReact, considering it an excellent product for enhancing the learning experience and providing valuable feedback. The software enables collaboration and feedback among students, fostering a unique aspect of learning as they engage with their peers.
In internship courses, GoReact is utilized by a significant number of students who benefit from its features. They record their live lessons on the platform and receive comments and suggestions from their supervisors, aiding them in their professional development. Moreover, GoReact finds application in evaluating coaching skills where it enables the assessment of key phrases and verbiage used in conversations without the need for face-to-face interaction. Similarly, in operations management courses, project videos are created using GoReact to showcase progress and technical aspects, thereby helping students build analytical and presentation skills.
The software also serves as a valuable resource in evaluating interpreters by providing a storage hub for recorded material and facilitating feedback on specific interpreting behaviors. In the School of Education, it enables mentorships and educational feedback to overcome time constraints and distance. Additionally, leaders find GoReact useful for real-time support in professional development, coaching team members, and analyzing organizational systems. With its wide-ranging applications, GoReact has proven to be a versatile tool that caters to diverse user needs in educational settings.
I use GoReact to build analytical and presentation skills in my operations management courses. I assign them a project from industry for which they work on in teams. They are supposed to create videos on GoReact that showcase their progress throughout the project. They need to explain what they are doing in term of the technical aspects of the project as well as practice their presentation to the client.
Pros
Very easy to use for both faculty and students
The students love the feedback they get from the professor
It is a very intuitive user interface
Cons
Could develop tools to focus specifically on STEM areas
User interface could be updated to reflect changes in technology
Certificates could be incorporated in the system
Some gamification might improve engagement

It is very well-suited for business presentations. The students improve their presentation skills tremendously using GoReact and the feedback from the instructor. It is less suited for very technical areas such as operations research and management science.
GoReact enables us to be effective in evaluating interpreters and their work. We use GoReact to collect, store, and evaluate performance from interpreters and share it with folks in our quality assurance department. In the past, we've had trouble storing all of the recorded material but GoReact acts as a storage hub as well as a convenient way to provide feedback that is associated with specific behaviors in the interpreting process.
Pros
Time Stamped Feedback
Clean Video Storage
Clear peer to peer feedback
Cons
Frequent UI changes
Color scheme
Likelihood to Recommend
I find that GoReact is well suited if the person uploading or recording their video knows how to use it and uses it correctly AND if the person who is providing the feedback uses it well. If both parties don't use it well, it becomes problematic for the feedback process. Both the "student" and the "teacher" have to use it well in order for it to be effective. Otherwise, it's just a video storage tool.

GoReact enables me to be both efficient and effective in providing feedback to my students at USC, and previously at UC-Davis, Stanford, and Columbia. It's a great product with constant innovation and evolution. I've found that my students appreciate the unique aspect of the tool. I also allow them to use the tool to provide feedback to one another, which really helps seal in the learning.
Pros
Time-marked feedback
Option for me to provide text, audio, or video feedback
Quick and easy use
Cons
Offering a product to professionals who provide coaching outside of higher education
Allowing easier integration of rubrics from other sources
Continuing to streamline integration with LMS tools
Likelihood to Recommend
Well-suited in team and individual presentations where there is a video (or URL) of the presentation. Sometimes the work students submit is largely just a voice-over of a PowerPoint deck; it's less useful in these scenarios. Fortunately, I try to dissuade speakers from doing these kinds of "audio tracks" to slides as they are not strong products anyway.
I use GoReact to provide feedback on classroom observations and coaching conversations with new teachers. It allows us to collaborate on a video together without being face to face. It is used to evaluate my coaching skills as well and note key phrases and verbiage used in a conversation.
Pros
Easy to use
Great for instant feedback
Collaboration Tool
Visually appealing
Cons
I can't think of anything I would add!

GoReact is an awesome tool to use as we are training and coaching new teachers. It allows me to self reflect and look at the language that I am using in a coaching conversation. It is very appropriate and well suited for this task.
I use GoReact in my role as a Clinical Supervisor for Initial Licensure Candidates in the School of Education. The platform has facilitated mentorships that would otherwise be impossible due to time constraints and distance.
Pros
I appreciate being able to leave comments which are time stamped.
I am able to select areas of the candidates' teaching repertoire that are consistent with the aims of our School of Education, national accreditation bodies, and national and state standards for education, including Learner Development and Differences, Classroom Management, and Instructing and Engaging Students.
The program affords me a bifurcated view of both the video and the comments I've left for my candidate.
Cons
Sometimes it's difficult for me to keep track of the different categories, but I have noticed that these have been simplified recently. Thank you.

GoReact has been a lifesaver during the pandemic and is also very well suited to remote work as universities practice this more efficient and effective manner of educating our teacher candidates. It also increases the field of clinical supervisors, which are often in short supply to support teacher candidates.
My teacher candidates record their live lessons on GoReact, and I watch them while giving comments and suggestions. I score them and then send the finished scores to them.
Pros
Records lessons well
Able to make concrete comments on their performance
Able to print or save and put on the GF transcript records
Easy to sue and navigate
Cons
Being able to stop a recording and go back to finish later before comments go to the candidates
Needs to have a final spell check the end
Sometimes the sound isn't as clear as it could be
Likelihood to Recommend
So far the purpose of my use has been very easy and useful.
I have been teaching ASL classes and giving my educational feedback to hearing students for their ASL expressive skills.
Pros
Recording
Markers
Type of assignments
Cons
Bigger screen of an individual signing
Do not see the closed captions if necessary
Do not combine gradebook with My Course at RIT and Blackboard at UR
Likelihood to Recommend
Feedback for the students' mistakes or sign productions and less appropriate if the hearing wants to give me answers or feedback with closed captions to save some time.
I use Go React with leaders to support their work in real time with (1) running professional development, (2) coaching their team members, and (3) analysis of systems within the organization.
Pros
Video capture
Video comments and text comments
App/Computer communication
Customer Service
Cons
Logging into the app- would like to stay logged in, not have to log in each time

Go React is well suited for any organization that wants to provide feedback/support/coaching to another person/organization, but may not be able to be there in person. The platform with the video to video response is very powerful.
We use GoReact to help with observations videos of our candidates in the classroom. Candidates upload them and faculty grade them according to a rubric for the assignment. It has allowed us to cut physical travel down and save the university money. We use it several classes along with all of our internship courses. They have two video submissions along with two actual face to face observations. Depending on the semester we have between 100-500 students using it.
Pros
The ease of video upload is terrific. It is much easier than other software we use.
The ability to have a rubric attached to each assignment helps the faculty grade the videos.
The customer support is awesome. I contact our rep and they take care of any issues that day if not sooner.
The Canvas / GoReact integration has been incredible. It has streamlined the whole process for candidates, faculty and the support staff.
Cons
Nitpicking about the library function. It can be a little confusing.
A little daunting for the less tech savvy users
The Canvas / GoReact integration solved most of our issues.

If you need to record and grade interactions then it is perfect. It allows instructors to uniformly grade candidates according to rubrics that have been created to keep observations uniform. We use this function with our internship program where we have a widely diverse and different set of evaluator each semester. They copy the GoReact course in the Canvas classes and thus assure uniformity. Some faculty have trouble the the live review function due to internet reliability.
