Overall Satisfaction with GoReact
We use GoReact to help with observations videos of our candidates in the classroom. Candidates upload them and faculty grade them according to a rubric for the assignment. It has allowed us to cut physical travel down and save the university money. We use it several classes along with all of our internship courses. They have two video submissions along with two actual face to face observations. Depending on the semester we have between 100-500 students using it.
- The ease of video upload is terrific. It is much easier than other software we use.
- The ability to have a rubric attached to each assignment helps the faculty grade the videos.
- The customer support is awesome. I contact our rep and they take care of any issues that day if not sooner.
- The Canvas / GoReact integration has been incredible. It has streamlined the whole process for candidates, faculty and the support staff.
- Nitpicking about the library function. It can be a little confusing.
- A little daunting for the less tech savvy users
- The Canvas / GoReact integration solved most of our issues.
- Ease of video upload.
- Ability to grade videos.
- Rubric function.
- Template feature to assure the assignments are uniform.
- It was essential during Covid when faculty were not allowed into schools for live observations.
- It has led to a redesign of courses that have improved performances.
- The ability to download their videos has helped with other assignments that students have.
We looked at Voicethread because the university has access to it but it does not even come close to functionality of GoReact.
