Use Cases and Deployment Scope

At Micro Focus we use most of the available modules of GTreasury. We use the Cash Management module, FTs, FI module, as well as, Forecasting and Bank/Account Management Module. We are also using GTreasury as our In-House Bank and our Intercompany settlement/netting system. Netting, however, is actually done by our ERP and middleware.

Pros

  • Balance Reporting (i.e. Bank Statements) posting and processing
  • Funds Transfer Import and Automated feedback process
  • Payment execution and bank connectivity

Cons

  • IHB should be created as a separate module and not be spread out across multiple functions
  • CAMT script that is currently used should be replaced by an actual plugin
  • Reporting module needs to be more user friendly and allow users to extract larger data sets
  • An ability to view a bank statement on-screen w/o extracting it into PDF would go a long way. Different from Balance Explorer.

Likelihood to Recommend

Best suited for small to medium size clients looking for a simple to use platform primarily for Cash Management and Funds Transfer aggregation. GTreasury becomes a little more difficult to manage if you are dealing with large volumes and complex operations (i.e. running an IHB).

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Daily cash positioning

Sending wire files to banks

Pros

  • provides accurate cash positioning reports
  • transmits and confirms wire files
  • Doesn't cost much

Cons

  • Forecasting
  • training on how to use

Likelihood to Recommend

We use very limited services but GTreasury performs these functions well/. We wanted to expand to the use of the forecasting module but it doesn't do what we need it to do. also since I wasn't here at implementation there are aspects of how to set things up that I don't understand. It has been difficult to get training on these and I have had to pay extra. There is no user manual for me to refer to so I need to rely on the community which means a lot of searching around to find what I need which I don't have time for and sometimes I don't find what I need to know.

Pros

  • Ease of use
  • Intuitive
  • Customisable

Cons

  • Helpdesk support
  • Bugs

Likelihood to Recommend

GTreasury as a TMS is well suited and has the full suite offering for medium sized Treasury portfolio. However reliability and unexplained bugs and the subsequent support responsiveness can be improved

Automation of Banking Processes in Real Time.

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It is software that can strategically prepare forecasts in real time to achieve excellent liquidity and also have the possibility of making the necessary changes in time. GTREASURY has features that optimize liquidity at all stages with cash management engines and built-in tools. I also want to add that we have better visibility of transactional data without errors and in real time.

Pros

  • Visibility of transactional data in real time
  • Liquidity forecasts

Cons

  • I don't see any disadvantage in GTREASURY, it is software that can make phenomenal liquidity forecasts in real-time.

Likelihood to Recommend

GTREASURY is the software that avoids carrying out banking procedures manually and also solves the difficulty of manual work on spreadsheets for liquidity, significantly improving bank transmissions. It does not require work with third parties to work, this is perfect to avoid cumbersome data analysis systems. The API platform also helps you work more efficiently.

  • Moderate configuration based on our data supplied with the finance department.

Cons

  • At no stage have I noticed characteristics that do not favor the company financially in the management of the treasury.
  • I do not find any disadvantage in the control of the treasury.

In order to increase the growth of the company, tools such as GTreasury are necessary to comply with consolidating treasury management, it is always necessary to have treasury tools at our disposal that can comply with cash management, maximization of productivity, management of risks, and many other possible scenarios that help with finances. Valuable Cash Tool

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

GTreasury helped the company to create better cashflow statements and allowed to know how much cash we had on hand. It helped us with quicker and more accurate business decisions when cash was involved.

Pros

  • User Interface
  • Reports
  • Providing Data

Cons

  • Training
  • Implementation

Likelihood to Recommend

It is well-suited for providing information about what cash is available and its future outlook of it. It helped us to link the multiple bank accounts that we have globally into one consolidated location. We were then able to ensure that we had the cash required to meet the various business needs that we have.

[In my opinion, the] luster gets lost when you use it.

Rating: 3 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It is being used primarily in the Treasury department. It solves the problem of needing and using multiple banking platforms. One-stop-shop login rather than multiple logins. It also has allowed us to automate the GL account coding inside the funding templates.

Pros

  • Reporting automates bank balance view(s) by sending daily email recipients.
  • [It] includes the GL account coding on the funding templates to automate the posting of JEs for that transaction.
  • [It] synergizes bank transactions via a single portal rather than multiple logins for multiple bank platforms.

Cons

  • [In my opinion,] the main page is not helpful - [it] uses a lot of real estate for not much info and will let you reset the default opening screen to something different or rearrange the view of [the] screen.
  • [In my experience,] on the main page, [you] cannot alter [the] view of bank balances. [It] combines all the balances across all accounts into a lump sum number which is not very helpful [in my opinion].
  • [In my experience,] email notifications to approvers only happen once at the time of the transaction creation regardless [of whether] the transaction is a future dated wire. Notification should have a reminder closer to the date that the transaction is due [in my opinion].
  • [In my experience,] approver notification for transactions in the [queue] only defaults to TODAY, so future-dated wires get missed. To see future-dated wires, [I believe] the approver must go in and alter the date range for the view EVERY TIME. [I feel like] there should be the ability to set a default date range by [the] user.
  • [There is] no mobile app. [In my opinion,] this is NEEDED for approvers on the go.

Likelihood to Recommend

[In my opinion, GTreasury] performs best in small approval structures. [In my experience, GTreasury] does not have a user-friendly setup for [the] multiple "if/then" requirements, such as [money] by people and also [dollar amount] limits by type of transaction. [I feel like] it is clunky to use and navigate around making it [unuseable] by the executive team. As such, executives approve wires via an Esign product, which is uploaded as support to the GTreasury transaction. [In my opinion,] this diminishes the efficiency of [GTreasury].

[In my opinion,] it works but could be better.

Rating: 7 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It is currently being used globally across different regions by accounting, AP team, and Treasury. It is supposed to be a one-stop shop for us so that we can look at balances, cash accounting, financial accounting, and provide various customized reports for our needs.

Pros

  • [The] cash accounting works well.

Cons

  • [In my opinion, the] reporting functions are not user-friendly and [are] very confusing.
  • [I also believe that the] financial accounting module is also not user-friendly.
  • Operator security - [In my opinion,] the admin is confusing to set up new groups. Some languages in there were either no longer valid or changed. [Also, I believe that you] cannot disable users unless you move them to disable group. [I feel like it's] a bit weird.
  • Customer service support - [I feel it has] gotten better but [I, personally,] hope to see more improvement and timely responses.
  • [I believe] the location of certain functions is confusing as well. [In my experience,] I usually have to go to [the] search bar to search for what I am looking for.
  • FBAR - [I feel this is] also a bit confusing and hard to find. [In my case,] I had to ask where it is located, and [it was] definitely not where I would have expected it to [be]. I would assume it would be under reporting, but it was under [the] library and then maintenance or something.

Likelihood to Recommend

I can see why TMS is good to have once it works well. Our accounting team does like the cash accounting functionality. It helps make their jobs easier. Reports can be very helpful once we get [them] to work. However, [in my case,] I find it hard to create the reports unless you are looking for a very standard report. To customize a report is hard. [In my experience,] even when I have questions to GTreasury Support, they have to go back and look into it sometimes. So it is definitely something that comes with lots of training. To this day, I am still not able to get a report of global to work correctly and we have been working on it for maybe a year or a little less. [In my case,] I have had several calls with GTreasury and also have had email exchanges on this. [Personally,] all I want is a report that shows previous day balances or a report where I can say I want a balance for XX day with the FX conversion.

GTreasury Review - Healthcare

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Used by the treasury department for cash and debt management. It addresses our need for daily cash flow forecasting, building out a full-year cash forecast as well, plus managing daily liquidity and debt payments, schedules, and journal entries.

Pros

  • Straightforward and intuitive
  • Reliable
  • Works well within our needs

Cons

  • Improved reporting
  • Better ways to handle transaction tagging
  • Better bank fee analysis functionality

Likelihood to Recommend

GTreasury is well suited for handling cash and debt from our experience with the system. I think the reporting could be more robust plus the bank fee analysis option could be better. We do not use GTreasury for investments given that this is a fairly complex area within our organization.

Powerful and flexible Treasury Management Systems for all corporate treasury needs

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The treasury department is the primary user. GTreasury is used for daily cash management and payments. Additionally we use the debt, bank fees, accounting, and forecasting modules. In addition to treasury we have several reporting users in various accounting functions who pull reports and transactions information from GTreasury.

Pros

  • Automated cash positioning and flexible way of viewing cash positions.
  • Managing large amount of bank data.
  • Reporting.
  • Debt/investment/risk management, monitoring and reporting.
  • Innovation and development in general.

Cons

  • Cash flow forecasting.
  • Bank administration. The module currently provides very basic bank admin functions, thus there is room for improvement. For example, bank communication letters are generated on an account level and there is no possibility to do it on a bank level. If company signatories change a letter has to be generated and sent for each individual account separately. Secondly, the workflow is a bit clumsy.
  • User admin. User admin does everything it is supposed to do but is not very user friendly and it is quite technical. It is an area in which you work on an irregular basis so it is hard to remember what to do and where to navigate.

Likelihood to Recommend

Very well suited for complex corporate structures which have multi-layer bank account structures. Debt/investment/risk management module is very powerful. GTreasury could be overkill for a simple corporate structure which has only a handful of bank accounts and does not require flexible data processing and reporting.
