We have used IBM SPSS for analyzing surveyed data and also internal behavioral matrix. Its UI is very easy to understand and clean. In addition, SPSS is the backbone of data analysis workflow. Undoubtedly, it is primarily used for survey analysis, predictive modeling and reporting. We can utilize raw data from multiple sources and convert it into market research charts and other forms of insights. It helps and gives us assurance in applying statistics and also for forecasting models helps analyze demand and support.
Pros
Definetely, its advanced statistical analysis which it supports without coding
Its predictive modeling and forecasting
Surved data analysis
Reporting and Visualizing
Cons
Its licence costing is a little drawback.
Integration with modern tools like tableau or power BI seems like a cherry on a cake.
Likelihood to Recommend
For Market research and gaining customer insights followed by forecasting actual demand is very cool, However, If we need highly customized visualization then I think there might be some limitations and last but not list, its license costing is also there where on the other end some free tools are also available but it has their own perks too.
IBM SPSS Statistics has intuitive user interface that is easy to navigate and run linear regression. It is the most reliable platform that I have used in the organization for data analysis from different departments. The customer support team is proactive and ever offers quick feedback when contacted via live chat or phone call.
Pros
Management of metadata.
Spreadsheet analysis.
Result and chart analysis in different navigation panes.
Cons
The UI can be upgraded to suit modern demands.
The price is high for most business enterprises.
Likelihood to Recommend
This is the most efficient platform in management of data from my experience. The variable view is clean and well organized with clear labels of all data sets. The output viewer is the most viable result and chart organizer with steady performance throughout. It can handle most complex surveys and give reliable results that can be easily analyzed by any user.
I use IBM SPSS Statistics to analyze performance of assets of my client, usage of trends of assets and use predictive modelling to find pattern of asset lifecycle. This tool helped me convert complex datasets into importing findings to act on. The scope using is to asset maintenance planning, budget allocation and convert complex data into actionable insights.
Pros
It can handle complex analysis methods with ease and good accuracy.
Its user interface is very friendly which makes analysis of data easy.
Its a very strong tool which can handle large datasets and help analyze it with quick performance.
Cons
Data visualization capabilities are very limited which leads to get help for other tools.
Integration with other platforms is not a smooth process which can be time consuming.
Automation features can be improved.
Likelihood to Recommend
It can be a very good tool for the people who are working on statistical modelling and forecasting trends of relative data. It can be very helpful in converting complex data into actionable insights Since, it can identify patterns in datasets with ease. However, it is not much of a help with real time data analysis and where data visualization is critical.

We resell IBM SPSS Statistics as a distributor, enablement and advisory partner. We provide partner enablement, training, solutioning, positioning, and licensing assistance for our partners and their end customers. We also have demo facilities where we can deliver end customer demos on the product and also integrate it with other IBM products or other vendor complementary products
Pros
Graphical interface much easier that SAS. It requires little coding.
Great job with Data Management and Prep
Automation and Scheduling are easy and efficient for routine, period based analysis.
Cons
Compare do some of the capabilities in other IBM products the especially closely aligned like Cognos, the visualization do meet the same standard.
Sometime we notice it gets sluggish on larger data sets when using the desktop version.
The UI which is much friendlier than SAS heavy code-based application still leave room for improvement and modernization even compared to other IBM products in the same genre.
Likelihood to Recommend
Great for companies that have statistical applications and work with other IBM reporting and analytic products. Also good for less sophisticated users who require statistical analysis but are not proficient in coding languages. The UI enables users to get the job done with little to no coding and reduces the need for as many data scientist.
IBM SPSS Statistics is utilized within my line of business for databasing of our proprietary consumer research. We build consumer segments and models with the tool and test for significant differences within the data. It's a lot more of a cleaner format towards housing data and charting. We don't use it for anything else outside of that scope.
Pros
Data Storage
Statistical Testing
Modeling
Cons
A bit clunky when loading
Large scale visualization can be hard to differentiate in table form
Mouse scrolling can be bugged
Likelihood to Recommend
IBM SPSS Statistics is well suited for long term data warehousing and analysis. The format for coding/recoding variables allows for seamless integration of datasets. Being able to cross reference across multiple data files is also really nice.
I use it less for graphing and data visualization just because the format comes out a little less clean compared to other tools.
As a CX researcher, I use SPSS Statistics to analyze survey data and internal behavioral metrics and combine the two. I like the easy-to-use GUI. When I am doing routine stuff, taking the time to write the code feels like a waste and another chance for a QC error. I have been using SPSS for over 30 years, and I'm a big fan. That said, it's getting to be almost too expensive.
Pros
GUI Interface.
Ease of manipulating data.
Processing speed.
Cons
Cost is becoming prohibitive.
Availability of procedures in the base package seems to be dwindling.
The copy-and-paste function from output to Excel is not as easy as it once was (now I have to do a "paste special").
Text and date handling are terrible.
Need to include AI-based NLP for survey verbatims and other text-based fields. This is becoming increasingly important in the CX world, yet SPSS seems to be ignoring it.
Likelihood to Recommend
SPSS's ability to deal with things like survey verbatims is a significant competitive disadvantage. The ability to do most of what researchers do without having to learn to program (think R or Python) is the primary advantage SPSS brings to bear.

In my organization, I regularly use IBM SPSS Statistics for data analysis on my projects in public health social work.
Pros
regressions
descriptive statistics
scatter plots
Cons
In my opinion, there is room for improvement regarding Issues with labeling variables easily with IBM SPSS Statistics
Another place where I think there is room for improvement in IBM SPSS Statistics is that I would like to automatically create dummy variables
Likelihood to Recommend
If asked, I think I am likely to tell a colleague that, in my experience, IBM SPSS Statistics is appropriate for data analysis of social science research projects
SPSS allows our research team to run statistical analyses on large data sets, extracting the key insights, themes, and patterns in the data. It can detect significance, correlations, and relationships between our relevant variables, such as user satisfaction and produce usage. The ability to visualize the data also helps us in creating research reports to share our findings.
Pros
Integration and deployment
Service
Support
Cons
Price is a little bit high
For complex analysis it takes more setup
There are also various quirks of the tool that create some friction in the user experience
Likelihood to Recommend
The powerful statistical functionality of the tool is a game-changer for analysis and reporting. The user interface is also very easy to use, even for novice analysts. SPSS is a solid tool, but there are some downsides, such as its price. While the cost is low per user, especially for an enterprise tool, there is also the option to try similar free software. Also, despite its simple "point and click" interface, this simplicity does have its limitations.
We use IBM SPSS Statistics in our research studies for Quantitative data. The feature set is very easy to learn. The training that is given on the product is also very well done and accessible. I have used it in several studies for the university and plan to use in several of my future studies.
Pros
User Interface
The variety of feature sets
Ease of Use
Cons
Use of Delphi
Ai feature sets
.
Likelihood to Recommend
I have stated before the ease of use and functionality of the system. Also the training and support behind the product is very well done. The site and instructional videos that of offered are exceptional. When ever we have a problem with the software, customer support is great and knowledgeable.
