We use Katalon Studio to test our GraphQL based API's using a Data Driven model. Validation of response and its contents for different requests and integration with Azure Devops.

Free trial version is fine but you don't get the adequate support and VFM for the licensed version. Customer service needs to be improved a lot and any QA's with less technical background or less time to troubleshoot issues in the software on their own would find it difficult to use.

There was no proper insight to test reports and reports were not organized well. It was difficult to get information on test flakiness or test case failure history. Our organization had already been using Katalon automation tool for writing test cases and with the Katalon testOps, everything is in one place.

Katalon TestOps is well suited for an oraganization who want to organize their automation collections and have everything in one place. It provides good insight on test runs, failures and also helps in defect tracking. It is extremely easy to schedule and run test suites automatically. With the help of test history, it becomes easier to triage the report and identify if it is a product issue or a test flakiness. Also with the automation run scheduling features with custom options, user do not have to manually trigger the runs and just run the scheduler to do the job.

Katalon studio is relatively new to market but its popularity is growing rapidly. We have started exploring this tool recently and found it very useful if you compare it with other open source tools such as Selenium, Appium etc. It works very well for automating Web/Mobile/APIs with features like Record/Run, Object Spy etc. Altogether it is all in one tool for test automation. Easy to integrate with Git and Jenkins. It also has very nice reporting features with Dashboard. Overall Katalon studio is going to be a leader in test automation industry in coming future. Limitations: Katalon studio didn't locate the Android SDK automatically. We need launch Android emulators manually while running mobile automation tests. Katalon studio Debugging feature is not available with free version. Data driven feature at test case level is also not available with Katalon studio free version.

Katalon studio is where you will get almost all test automation solutions at one place. This tool is well suited for Web, Mobile and API automation. Parallel test execution is also made easy with Katalon studio. Data driven testing using excel, csv etc is also very useful. but it has limitations, there is no provision to open or work with multiple projects at same time in Katalon studio. Debugging feature is also not available with Katalon studio free version.

Katalon Studio is first used to evaluate the codeless test automation feature and has been used in one of the test automation projects where the customer is interested about having codeless test automation implemented for their software product.

If the interest is to start with fewer coding skills then Katalon Studio is one of the good options for automation. It is as simple as writing test cases with predefined methods and actions. It also provides the flexibility to edit the code for the coders but also has limitations compared to the flexibility of creating own framework as like native selenium or appium like tools.

Well suited tool in agile . Tool is better competitively with other existing tools market. Test case automation efforts reduced more than 60 percent while comparing to our existing approach where we are using keywords based open source framework. Recording feature helps. Multiple combinations of object identifier helps to automate legacy web applications

Katalon Studio is one of the automation tools used in my organization. It is used to automate our web and mobile applications. In our company, it is heavily used for UI and API automation but the tool can be used for image comparison too. The tool supports all different kinds of browsers like Google Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox, headless browsers, etc. The tool can be easily integrated with Jenkins, JIRA, GitHub, Qtest, etc. It's a nice stable tool for automation that uses groovy scripting language.

One can easily automate Web, Mobile, Desktop, API (SOAP as well as REST), and execute the scripts on your desired browser/platform. The record and play option is available so users can use their recorder to record the xpath/objects or can write their own xpath. I would say the reorder is not so great for angular pages where there are no unique locators but it is easy to write their own xpath in this case. For API testing, there is an easy way to import from swagger, WSDL, etc. The tool can be easily integrated with CI/CD. All in all, a good tool for automation.

I have been actively developing software for 5 years. I use Katalon Studio for the tests of the applications I develop. Katalon Studio is used for web and mobile applications testing. It is preferred because it is completely free. You only need to be a member of the site to download. Thanks to the cross platform feature, we can test the code written in the browser without writing additional code. It supports different operating systems. I create my own test cases with special keywords that use the script mode. Before using this program, I was using the Firefox extension Selenium IDE. selenium IDE is too simple a regression tool compared to Katalon Studio. I automate the test case that I prepared manually using the record feature of the tool.

I am developing software in the digital banking unit. Katalon Studio is used for regression tests of mobile applications in our unit. With the Recod feature, a manual test scenario is created through the mobile application first. Later, tools perform regression tests at certain periods and the results are reported.

We currently use it in QA department to automate test scripts across API mobile testing. I love its ability to catch objects using spy web and its smooth record-and-play feature. I personally prefer using Katalon over Selenium because I have less coding knowledge. It helps people who are not that sound in coding to automate their projects.

It is one of the most recommended solutions for users who have less knowledge in Java and Python, if you don't have a lot of time to automate your scripts, for when you have simple functionalities, or for loading large amount of data. I mostly recommend Katalon Studio for these situations.

We built automated test cases with Katalon studio and execute them every night. The programming language is Java. Jenkins is used for CI/CD pipeline. Git repository is used for managing test code.

It is well suited for quick automation and avoiding dependency on coding skilled resources. It has no licensing fee. It is not well suited for complex projects where high customization is required.

I have switched from manual testing to automated testing for few years and Katalon Studio is the coolest tool that I have used. You don't have to pay any fee and the features it provides are the same as the paid ones. It saves us huge amounts of money and time.

Katalon Studio is appropriate for big projects. And it is really suitable for users having minimum programming skills. It also supports both manual and script modes. A web app and mobile app are available.
