My organization uses Keen IO in our project management group. It has been a great tool to help us with data processing and analytics related to our individual projects and company trends as a whole. It has been hard to find a program that can do everything we need it to do and Keen IO has been the best we have found so far.
  • It has been great for configuring and representing data trends for our own company as well as our clients.
  • It is very helpful for viewing and understanding trends within our own datasets without being too overwhelming
  • The user interface is very streamlined and doesn't take too long to learn so there isn't a lot of time wasted.
Keen IO is well suited for a young company with employees who are quick learners. It may still take some time to get the hang of using the program, but it will be a much speedier and more efficient endeavor if the employees are already on top of that. It is not as appropriate for older employees because they are likely already used to other programs and it will be a big jump for them. The data representations can be excellent if you just have some time to fiddle with the settings.
Keen IO is powerful and comparable to many of these programs. I have personally found the Google alternatives best for my company because they are much more user-friendly and have a familiar interface for most users. Pendo.io, Optimizely, and Segment are great as well but similar to Keen IO in their user-friendliness. If you are looking for a powerful program with lots of flexibility and time to learn the program (or age of user) is not an issue, they are a great option. If you want something that can do the job quickly and still look great but requires less time familiarizing yourself with the program, Google products are the winner.

I have used Keen personally for a small company start-up to visualize where we are headed, analytically.
  • Data modeling.
  • Great tool for developers.
  • Application integration.
To run more visual, analytical models, it is great. Leave the statistics to your other programs.
They have minor similarities, so they are not easily comparable. Keen is one of a kind and does not have a great alternative. It just needs a little work and developers will be addicted to it.

Keen IO is primarily used by our lab group of about 15 workers. We extensively implement keen IO to improve our original apps and get our creations out to the public much faster than would normally be possible. While working on a project, we probably use keen IO up to 20 hours a week.
  • Very fast and significantly shortens work time
  • Easy user interface
  • Excellent output of analytical data
Keen IO is best suited to decreasing the amount of time your team works on analytical functions and work. It drastically decreases necessary time and can significantly improve efficiency. While it is great at speeding things up, it is not super compatible with other analytical software which presents a problem when dealing with customers.
Overall I think Keen IO is generally easier to use and more friendly towards new or novice users than other platforms. If you are just looking for a quick and easy solution, Keen IO might be the way to go. The cost of obtaining the software is a con when compared to some other software.
