Who Buys & Uses LeanData

Pros

  • Advanced lead routing with complex rule handling
  • Robust duplicate detection and management with fuzzy matching
  • Comprehensive automation and workflow capabilities

Cons

  • Complexity of graph functionality
  • Limited platform integrations beyond core CRM
  • Steep learning curve for new users

Best for Lead and Contact routing.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am on the MarTech team and spend most of my time building or updating graphs that match leads and contacts to accounts and assign them to the right MDR, SDR, AE, or partner. Using LeanData, we routed records to the right owner with the SLA. We have Lead and Contact graphs in prod and UAT for matching, owner assignment, follow-ups, SLA timers, and Slack notifications.

Pros

  • Variables and using them downstream.
  • Data Table for maintaining logic and lookup for values.
  • Hold until for SLAs.
  • Slack and outreach integration.

Cons

  • If I create a support case my team is not able to view it, we should have team view.
  • For beginners we need more information on common errors and how to handle them.
  • Graph shows someone is editing but they are not.

Return on Investment

  • Not applicable for my role.

LeanData is my favorite tool

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

At my current organization, we use LeanData for routing and process automation. We also use LeanData Bookit as our Sales scheduling tool. LeanData makes it very easy for a non-technical person and non-salesforce admin, like myself, to manage routing, data updates, and process automation across all of our Salesforce objects. Unlike most LeanData customers, we use LeanData across all of our custom objects... and we have 11 custom objects! LeanData addresses our need for complex lead routing, enforcing SLAs, auto-sequencing prospects in Outreach, territory management, round robin territories, and so much more. The LeanData Bookit tool has been a great addition for us, as we are able to control meeting request routing from two separate websites. Our SDR team also likes using the Bookit Handoff tool to take the confusion out of passing a meeting to our sales team.

Pros

  • LeanData's UX is top notch. I love how intuitive the FlowBuilder is, and how it helps visualize a process. I don't need to use another tool to map out the flow, and then build it again in LeanData. I also love the testing feature.
  • LeanData support is amazing. So communicative, and helpful. They were so helpful during onboarding, and continue to be a great resource as we optimize.
  • Territory management/Routing/user scheduling is super easy in LeanData. Far more robust than other solutions out there.

Cons

  • LeanData Bookit is great, but still has some kinks that are being worked out when it comes to calendar routing, matching, and meeting creation. LeanData is constantly pushing updates and improvements so I have no doubt it will get better.
  • We experience some timing issues where sometimes a new lead will go through the "updated lead" flow before the "new lead" flow. I wish we could force a lead to go through the new lead flow before it can go through the update flow. This could be because of our system timing, and not LeanData's fault, but I can't be sure.
  • We use the Round Robin pools heavily, and there are still some settings to be desired. It would be great if count based pools could count leads, and not just meetings. And when it comes to meetings, it would be great if we could filter a little more.

Return on Investment

  • Using the Outreach integration in LeanData that allows us to auto-sequence an inbound prospect that hasn't booked a meeting has brought our average time to touch from 10+ days to >1 day.
  • I can't speak to specific numbers, but using LeanData to route our different onboarding related objects has significantly reduced our onboarding time for new customers.
  • Adding LeanData Bookit has also reduced our spend by consolidating tools. When we acquired a company last year, we were able to use LeanData on their website and get rid of their routing/meeting tools without having to pay for another instance.

How LeanData revolutionized the way on processing leads

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As the primary technical owner of this product in our organization, LeanData has been super helpful for me especially how we manage lead routing and account assignment to our sales reps based on certain criteria. The flowcharts really give me an excellent high level overview on the flows and allows for easy management and tweaking as business requirements and processes change from time to time. LeanData allows for scalability, which means if there are additional workflows needed on top of existing workflows, I can just drag and drop how I want it to be, test some use cases and eventually save and deploy.

Pros

  • Lead/Contact Routing
  • Account Assignment
  • Territory Management
  • Roundrobin Pooling of Sales Representatives

Cons

  • Accessing certain objects and fields in SFDC
  • Limited Multi-System Orchestration
  • Manual Error Checking

Return on Investment

  • It has helped our speed to lead by 30%
  • It removes the manual processing of leads and territory assignment
  • It has been helping to scale the business by introducing new set of motions

Happy LeanData Customer

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use LeanData mainly for lead routing but also leverage it for account routing as well. Our main business problem is being able to build out routing that is a little more complex than what can sit in Salesforce but also making it really easy to update and manage. We also recently purchased BookIt which has helped us reduce the friction for our request a demo form so prospect's can book a meeting right away and aren't waiting to hear back from a salesperson. We have been a LeanData customer for over 3 years and have continued to expand our usage of the tool. Our graphs have went through a few iterations but we appreciate being able to have different versions that we can keep for historical purposes and not overwriting the graph each time we make a change. Overall, we've been really happy with LeanData.

Pros

  • We've been able to have some more complex lead routing scenarios
  • We've been able to use it for account routing to ensure all accounts are routed correctly based on size and territory.
  • We also have been using BookIt to reduce friction with booking meetings.

Cons

  • Some additional integrations with data providers would be nice. I have a wait step but would be awesome to do it right in LeanData

Return on Investment

  • It previously could take us several days to schedule a demo request meeting. And now it's nearly instant. This has been huge for the sales team.
