Spirit Aerosystems currently uses LeanDNA across multiple functions of our supply chain organization. The primary use is for inventory and shortage management. This tool alerts the user of visual prioritization tasks to make the best decisions around mitigation of shortages to our factory and reducing inventory.

LeanDNA allows for ease of reporting and analyzing current inventory positions at a company level. LeanDNA drives actions and results that can be easily communicated and dissected. The visual nature of the tool drives users to the most impactful tasks.

The customer support team has been in lock step in all of the implementations that we have done with them. The team is very communicative and knowledgeable in the process and platform we operate in.
We have successfully implemented 6 site locations into LeanDNA over the past 2 years. We are currently developing plans to implement our Defense business into LeanDNA which includes both classified and non-classified programs. We are also implementing segments of our business that were recently acquired from another company. We are very pleased with the process of implementation and the ease of doing so with LeanDNA.
We have looked to test and pilot other tools and platforms but have not implemented as we down selected to use LeanDNA as the preferred tool.

It's used from line logistics all the way to buyers and management.

Great to put in updates and communicate with multiple teams at once. Web based platform allows for live updates.
  • We are in beginning stage of using this for inventory management.
Our internal customers can go to LeanDNA to get updates without having to come to our team constantly.
Training was minimal and actually happened before go[ing] live and should have been ongoing after new changes adapted.

LeanDNA is a supply chain Analytics platform with a wonderful interface that makes for easy adoption across the organizations' user base. It has both the high level as well as line-level details for PN level inventory details. It saves a lot of time for the users to run/refresh queries and then analyze what needs to be done. Whereas LeanDNA has the ultimate workflow that sorts by criteria or criticality.
  • Simple to use interface with high level dashboard and additional widgets for metrics.
  • Project and results tracking.
  • Forecast vs actuals kept track of for past 6 months to review performance and adjust if necessary.
Any small or medium-sized company will benefit by using LeanDNA instead of big huge servers running old school queries and multiple versions of the queries. This cloud subscription model definitely wins my marks.

We had tremendous support from all of our account managers. The company was so keen on their customer feedback that the CEO, head of operations used to join our calls to get our feedback.
We had some hiccups with implementing LeanDNA and the team felt rushed and might not have had a chance to check all the required data load versions. Initially, we used to have a few reruns, and eventually, it was sorted out.

LeanDNA is used across five manufacturing facilities within the Ducted and Chillers business units in the US and Mexico. We are using this platform to optimize inventory for purchased and WIP parts. It allows us to easily view materials across all business units at the lowest level. We also use recommended parameter adjustments to ABC, reorder points, etc.

  • Customizable dashboards.
  • Easy filtering capabilities within each dashboard.
  • Standard reporting.
  • More supplier portal capabilities (eg. ASN).
  • Historical data; items show fixed if they are received. Would like to see these as not fixed, but considered something like not actioned.
  • Comment capabilities should be easier. Needs to be more like Excel, able to just enter comments. You have to click too many times to enter comments.
LeanDNA is a simple to use system, easy to implement, and has a very customizable analytics engine. As I continue to learn more about the dashboard I learn more of capabilities such as creating tasks and or lean projects. This is a one stop shop for all project management that is a capability you can use without even connecting your ERP to the system.

Customer support has been great. Germain, Natalie, and Brian go above and beyond to be sure that all of the questions are answered. The online ticket system is a great tool that is used by my group on a daily basis. LeanDNA engages and closes out tickets in a timely and effective manner. They are sure to verify that all of the issues are resolved before ever closing the ticket.
The implementation process went very smooth. The upfront work from LeanDNA providing mapping data needed for our specific ERP system made the initial implementation seamless. After the data was collected the data validation process was very smooth. LeanDNA has a process that they follow in order utilize the time of the users efficiently. They provided step by step instructions on validation.
For a simple, easy to implement system, LeanDNA far outpaces the larger companies with lots of "extras". LeanDNA offers a sufficient inventory optimization platform that can be used with almost any ERP system.
