Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We switched to LoopUp over a year ago after using traditional conference call lines. The transition was seamless and the product is 10 times easier to use. We are lawyers who have conference calls all day. I used to rely on my assistant to schedule and circulate a conference line for every call. And the conference call line had a long code that was hard to enter if you were, say, driving. With lookup, I can circulate the invite easily from my phone. LoopUp provides a link that each caller clicks on. Then it calls you directly and connects you to the call. It is so easy to use and share. We love it.

  • Good call quality.

Cons

  • The cost may be higher than a traditional conference line.

Likelihood to Recommend

It's fantastic for folks who have conference calls with folks outside your organization throughout the day. It does not have a video option though, so if you need that, look elsewhere. After each call, I get an email "receipt" which shows the length of the call and all participants.

LoopUp is being used for conference calls and collaboration tool for projects and programs.

Pros

  • Easily connect and identify users
  • Allows for Screen Sharing
  • Moderator can manage those in the call

Cons

  • Screen sharing hangs from time to time
  • Didn't work as well on Apple Products
  • Relies on specific network configuration for optimal performance

Likelihood to Recommend

LoopUp works well as a cheaper option than WebEx and GoToMeeting. It may not have all the same functions as the competitors, but allows large groups to collaborate and do work for small/mid sized companies. One of the large advantages is you can pay per use rather than having to pay out a subscription.
