This product is very convenient to use and implement and is considered a "de facto" standard in the Business Intelligence sphere. First of all, it contains numerous features in terms of visualization, data provisioning, data source integration which makes it a perfect tool for the development of BI analytics. Secondly, it provides great capabilities for the development of data markets for the whole development team. Thirdly, the sharing capabilities of dashboards that are updated in a real-time manner provides great incentives for end-users.

Our company uses the Microsoft Power BI in order to find relationships and visualizations of the relationship between productive variables that are difficult to correlate only by intuition. Is especially useful to produce an easy-to-understand visualization from the data we have into our ERP, which lets the management spend less time looking at unsorted numbers.

The scenario where it shines more is in the treatment of data that is not easily correlated at first sight, it helps to find causes of unsuccess in productive environments. The only thing that is required is to have properly collected data to feed to Power BI, so it won't be useful in environments where the data is not collected with care, since the representations won't be representatives of the reality.

Normalizing and presenting the information in an easy way is the most important to keep the people engaged.

Well when you analyze data in Microsoft Power BI and create a dashboard with specific KPI that you want to track, then you want to display the information in your own webpage to show at the stake holders and your customer the results in real time, then you can save a lot of time. If you are not using Azure as your main software, then this can be a big problem.

You can easily embed your Power BI reports and charts into any web-based app easily. You can also embed these reports and visuals into your email newsletters.

If you need to pull in data from multiple sources to prepare your dashboard which you share with your customers, Power BI embedded can be a very good tool. You can use your brand colors and style for your company branding experience. You can also allow your user to add filters and sorts to do their own analysis on the go.

I use Microsoft Power BI Embedded to import my raw Excel data, and turn it into visually appealing, interactive graphs that can help paint a clearer picture of our firm's position. It is used to create dashboards for quarterly reviews, as well as to show monthly performance. It is fairly dynamic and can be easy to use at times.

Microsoft Power BI is well-suited for firms that have a need for dashboard creation (e.g. KPI dashboards, financial dashboards, etc.) for the purposes of monthly/quarterly reviews, or even just to assess the financial health of their firm in a more visual way. Microsoft Power BI does a great job presenting interactive visuals to convey data better. Microsoft Power BI is likely less suited for firms that do not create or maintain dashboards, or for individuals/teams that are not a part of assessing the financial health of their company.

We use this outward for everything and anything from planning meetings to submitting work. It is a very easy-to-use software that anyone can use. Our supervisors give us work through this software which is again easy to see and use. I would recommend this software to anyone working in school or outside.

While working in a company is always necessary to look at reports and data from different sections. In my internship, I was placed in a team with over 40 people, and to help tackle a problem we needed to have a central area where we shared work and also shared data.

We needed a tool to track the rollout of the O365 mobile apps to the several thousand corporate mobile users within the company, in a way that was visual and engaging. We built an interactive Power BI dashboard which was embedded into an existing web application used by the core project team and project stakeholders. The dashboard showed the number of users who had followed the installation process, and could be filtered by region, country, company code, job role, division etc.

We found that Microsoft Power BI Embedded met our requirements completely. It was particularly well suited to meet our need to create engaging and interactive visual dashboards to track the rollout of the O365 mobile applications to all of our mobile users company wide. It was probably less well suited for scenarios where only a small, simple visualisation is required - in these cases an Excel chart embedded into PPT would be suitable.

Some of the business problems Microsoft Power BI Embedded was the ability to integrate with Salesforce to pull in report data for presenting KPI's on our TV Dashboards. This allowed our agents to view real time stats as well as averages too. Being able to have a visual data representation is also powerful as we can then focus in on issues that require to be addressed. Sharing reports and dashboards is also very helpful across cross functional teams. Linking these to other integrations is also helpful too.

For data sets that do not require extensive slicing and dicing, it's a great tool for example, if we want to pull in our daily phone metrics from Salesforce it works well. However if we have larger data sets such as case data over a longer duration and try to find trends across data points, it does become a challenge.

There are two main ways in which we use Microsoft Power BI Embedded in The University of Sydney (in the context of academic / teaching staff in the School of Architecture, Design, and Planning). Firstly, Power BI is used to provide information about the students that are enrolled in different study units. This includes such information as country of origin, age, chosen degree, first language, grades, etc. This information is visualised as bar, radial, or line charts, which are very intuitive to use and understand. It is also easy to sort and search for required information. This is really helpful for me as a course coordinator because it allows me to know my students better and adjust my courses delivery accordingly. Secondly, Power BI is used to communicate information about our teaching loads. Again it is a pretty intuitive tool with an easy-to-use interface, which is able to communicate complex data in a very engaging way.

Microsoft Power BI Embedded is an effective tool for creating data visualisations and communicating those custom visualisations to your audience online. It is well integrated with Excel, which is really handy if you already use Excel in your work environment.
