These features enable quick decision-making and seamless information sharing within teams.
Convenience in Organization: Users value the platform's user-friendly interface and organizational features such as breakout rooms, real-time updates on user status, and effective operation on mobile devices. The intuitive design of Microsoft Teams streamlines teamwork and enhances overall project management efficiency.
We use it as a method for employees to communicate with each other, for document storage and search, and for planning meetings. We have a lot of internal communication every day (e.g., the daily scrum). When it's time to do time reporting (for example, SRED reports in Canada), we use it to search for projects/time periods to compile the relevant documents.
Pros
It has very efficient file searching via conversation topics or people.
It embeds task lists very well and is easy to collab as a team (Loop component addon).
It supports video playback (something we use all the time) directly in the chat.
Cons
When an update occurs, it can sometimes hide very important parts of the UI (e.g., all person-to-person conversations).
It struggles with allowing edits when the Wi-Fi network is changed or internet is slow.
If I need to find a setting to change something in the UI, it usually takes a long time to 'dig' and find the right settings.
Likelihood to Recommend
It's amazing as a daily driver for team communication, and document search/store. Also, if you're doing a lot of LONG meetings and have trouble remembering details, the AI summarization is amazing and convenient. It just works. I'm not saying I always do this, of course, but if I need to 'skim' instead of really digging into every detail from a meeting, the AI-generated summary is generally good enough that I can get away with it.

My first experience with Microsoft Teams was 7 years ago, when I was at University. I used it to attend virtual classes and collaborate on group assignments with my classmates. Currently, in our organization, we use it to collaborate, communicate, and manage our daily workflows. Our Teams operates both on-site and remotely across multiple locations. Its ability to integrate chat, video calls, file sharing, meetings, and instant messaging into a single platform has made our lives much smoother and made it convenient for everyone to work together in real time. The tool is fully compatible with iOS, Windows, and Android, allowing us to use our devices even when on the move. Seamlessly connects with our other tools, making our work and communication effortless.
Pros
All in one communication for Teams.
High quality and reliable both audio and video meetings.
Well organized and clear instant chat.
Excellent security features.
Beautiful integration with 3rd party tools and systems.
Perfect compatibility with windows ,android and iOS.
Allow meetings recordings for later us or sharing with teams that missed the live.
Cons
Although Microsoft Teams has been offering consistent support and enhancing teamwork across our organization, it would be nice to have more customization options, like colors and labels, for the chat feature.
Mobile version UI is not user friendly.
Likelihood to Recommend
Microsoft Teams excels highly in providing seamless communication and collaboration across teams working both on-site and remotely from different locations. Its capabilities for chat, meetings, file sharing, calling, etc., on a single platform meet all collaboration and meeting needs an organization requires. Also, provide complete features of running group calls and conferences.
Microsoft Teams is used to connect and collaborate with all the colleagues and have meetings. Nowadays it is having inbuilt options for powerbi, excel, ppt and so on. The business problems it solves is cross team or cross company collaboration very effectively. And since it is having inbuilt features, it makes it more worth it.
Pros
Cross team colloboration
Inbuilt features for jira, excel, ppt and so on
Having agents
Cons
Sometimes, I find it hanging in between without any proper error message. That can be improved.
They are giving updates, but sometimes update tour or guidance isn't mentioned so it's difficult to know what updates we got unless we go and search for them manually.
I would love to see different fonts which isn't there currently
Likelihood to Recommend
Microsoft Teams is well suited for cross team and cross organizational collaboration. It is less appropriate for handling excel ,ppt. It doesn't have given that much flexibility, means when I am doing something in excel. It is not as user friendly as excel, I can't edit cells properly like in normal excel desktop

MS Teams is the Best to compare to Zoom in all aspects. For data security and the chats which we did over the Teams it will remain same even though you have left the meeting whereas in Zoom once logged out the chat will vanish

In my work I use Microsoft Teams to connect seamlessly with students ,colleagues and research partners from different locations.During Covid it came through for me in way that even in future decades will still l choose it ,I was able to deliver lectures ,host and attend virtual meetings as well as collaborate with colleagues without facing challenges of physical travel. Also previously I was using emails and whatsapp for student questions ,different file sharing apps for course materials and others apps for virtual meetings and collaboration. Everything was scattered but MS Teams centralized all of this into one unified workspace making easier to manage communications and file sharing in a single location. The chat and calls both audio and video features are helpful for conducting academic discussions and decisions which improves our productivity and collaboration.
Pros
Stable performance support smooth communication even with large number of participants
Screen sharing and video conferencing tools that gives engaging virtual discussions and meetings
High quality video and audio
File sharing
Excellent cross device sync
Cons
Integration with outlook is not always smooth.
Only allow sharing of one screen at once

I give Microsoft Teams 10/ 10 because it the best for holding virtual meetings and lecturer even with large number of participants the experience is consistent. The tool unify chat ,file sharing ,meetings all in one all in one place which eliminates the inefficiency of scattered communication.
We use Microsoft Teams for Client Calls, Town Hall meetings, Internal Virtual Trainings. Business Problems: - In connecting with persons outside the organization - Disconnection of call in middle of the meeting.
Pros
Video Call
Chat
Attachments
Cons
Integration
Visualization
User Interface
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited for Internal Trainings, Townhall meetings, Client meetings. Less appropriate for Foreign Language Trainings over teams call.
I use Microsoft Teams to quickly chat someone when I need a quicker response than email. I use it to conduct video calls. I also use it to store shared files and categorized them. It's very helpful to have a messaging system to reach colleagues without having to contact them through their personal phones, it gives a nice boundary.
Pros
Messaging/Chatting ability
Organization for different categories or groups of work
Cons
Video calls. Can be glitchy and sometimes it's hard to do stuff in the background during a call. Can make the laptop freeze
Likelihood to Recommend
It is a great tool for connecting with coworkers. I love the messaging feature. Great for connecting quickly and getting a more timely answer then sending emails and having to potentially wait a while for a response. I love the organization feature as well to store files and then share them with coworkers and just have it stored safely.
I use it for internal communication. Think quick messages that don't require email. I also use it for virtual client meetings.
Pros
Quick call to teammates
Easy to present screen
I like the team aspects for the firm
Cons
I wish it was easier for clients to who are not familiar with Microsoft Teams to use it. That's my biggest concern. I'd like it to be as intuitive as Zoom.
Likelihood to Recommend
It's wonderful for internal communications. Internally, everyone is familiar and able to navigate it.
It becomes difficult when working with external clients. Sometimes Microsoft Teams is so new to them that they're not able to navigate to the meeting and often pivot to a call.

I use several Microsoft Teams functions in my organization including the webinar feature, channels and MS planner.
These tools allow our staff to connect and communicate on various topics and projects in clear, streamlined channels while the webinar features allows us to provide education and training to our customers. The ability to have folders and files within each channel keeps information in one centralized location that's easily accessible by both our in-office and remote staff.
Pros
Keeps files organized by topic, keyword, year, and status
Provides a specific location for staff to communicate and share and receive updates on various projects
Connects information seamlessly from MS tool to MS tool (i.e. being able to share emails directly to a OneNote page)
Cons
The webinars feature has some missing functionally such as the ability for all users to use the Q&A feature (only those with a Microsoft Teams account can use it now), the ability to upload documents for attendees to easily access and download, and the ability for presenters and organizers to easily chat amongst themselves throughout the webinar.
The "Channels" organization hierarchy could be more clear. If you have several channels set up, it can get clunky and hard to find the specific channel you are looking for.
The MS Planner tool lacks functionality and organization. You cannot assign more than one person to a task and it's confusing when you try to share tasks with people - it would be nice if they were automatically added to someone's calendar.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is well-suited for an organization with many team members who are scattered throughout different locations. It offers organization and clarity to projects, files, and tasks in one centralized location. It would be a bit of an overkill for a small organization where everyone is in the same location 5 days a week.
