Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use Microsoft Teams for Client Calls, Town Hall meetings, Internal Virtual Trainings. Business Problems: - In connecting with persons outside the organization - Disconnection of call in middle of the meeting.
Pros
- Video Call
- Chat
- Attachments
Cons
- Integration
- Visualization
- User Interface
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited for Internal Trainings, Townhall meetings, Client meetings. Less appropriate for Foreign Language Trainings over teams call.
Microsoft Teams is great in the workplace
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
I use Microsoft Teams to quickly chat someone when I need a quicker response than email. I use it to conduct video calls. I also use it to store shared files and categorized them. It's very helpful to have a messaging system to reach colleagues without having to contact them through their personal phones, it gives a nice boundary.
Pros
- Messaging/Chatting ability
- Organization for different categories or groups of work
Cons
- Video calls. Can be glitchy and sometimes it's hard to do stuff in the background during a call. Can make the laptop freeze
Likelihood to Recommend
It is a great tool for connecting with coworkers. I love the messaging feature. Great for connecting quickly and getting a more timely answer then sending emails and having to potentially wait a while for a response. I love the organization feature as well to store files and then share them with coworkers and just have it stored safely.
Easy Internal tool needs help for external users
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
I use it for internal communication. Think quick messages that don't require email. I also use it for virtual client meetings.
Pros
- Quick call to teammates
- Easy to present screen
- I like the team aspects for the firm
Cons
- I wish it was easier for clients to who are not familiar with Microsoft Teams to use it. That's my biggest concern. I'd like it to be as intuitive as Zoom.
Likelihood to Recommend
It's wonderful for internal communications. Internally, everyone is familiar and able to navigate it.
It becomes difficult when working with external clients. Sometimes Microsoft Teams is so new to them that they're not able to navigate to the meeting and often pivot to a call.
Microsoft Teams Meets the Needs of Modern Workplace
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
I use several Microsoft Teams functions in my organization including the webinar feature, channels and MS planner.
These tools allow our staff to connect and communicate on various topics and projects in clear, streamlined channels while the webinar features allows us to provide education and training to our customers. The ability to have folders and files within each channel keeps information in one centralized location that's easily accessible by both our in-office and remote staff.
Pros
- Keeps files organized by topic, keyword, year, and status
- Provides a specific location for staff to communicate and share and receive updates on various projects
- Connects information seamlessly from MS tool to MS tool (i.e. being able to share emails directly to a OneNote page)
Cons
- The webinars feature has some missing functionally such as the ability for all users to use the Q&A feature (only those with a Microsoft Teams account can use it now), the ability to upload documents for attendees to easily access and download, and the ability for presenters and organizers to easily chat amongst themselves throughout the webinar.
- The "Channels" organization hierarchy could be more clear. If you have several channels set up, it can get clunky and hard to find the specific channel you are looking for.
- The MS Planner tool lacks functionality and organization. You cannot assign more than one person to a task and it's confusing when you try to share tasks with people - it would be nice if they were automatically added to someone's calendar.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is well-suited for an organization with many team members who are scattered throughout different locations. It offers organization and clarity to projects, files, and tasks in one centralized location. It would be a bit of an overkill for a small organization where everyone is in the same location 5 days a week.
Its a good product overall but not the perfect work companion.
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Communications. We're solely working from home, so Teams has been helpful. Although it has some very annoying quirks, it serves its purpose as our main communication platform. We use it for meetings, setting up online events, and overall general chat across the whole organization.
Pros
- Setting meetings.
- Chat system.
Cons
- Search is a huge thing, it can be inaccurate at times.
- Log in sometimes is clunky, or random log outs.
- Online status is not accurate at times.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is pretty good for a chat platform, but if it's marketed for work or corporate jobs, it's missing some features. There's no way to make breakout rooms, which has been a feature on other platforms for years. On the other hand, general chat and group chats are pretty helpful as well.
A strong corporate communication tool
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We utilise Microsoft Teams as a secondary messaging tool to engage with clients and potential customers that use Microsoft as their worksuite. We will also use the video call feature to conduct product demos and have calls with potential clients and customers. Our product also integrates with Microsoft Teams to provide updates/results based on test results.
Pros
- External connections are easy to set up
- Clean when jumping between chat and video calls
- Integration of copilot is useful
- Chats UI is simple and easy to use
Cons
- Overall UI is quite clunky with too many features
- Notifications seem to be a bit spotty and don't always come through
- Video calls UI is again quite heavy to use
Likelihood to Recommend
Microsoft Teams is a great communication tool for cross company situations. I find that the ease of setting up external channels, and how seamlessly this integrates with video calls can make it very easy to facilitate communications cross company, and therefore it can be great at enabling relationship building in a sales environment. I find that it is less useful for internal communications as the UI is quite clunky due to too many features being included together which can lead to missed notifications which is harmful to building a strong communication culture in a remote working environment.
The inclusion of Copilot is also useful for getting recommendations and adjustments on any potentially important pitches / messages you need to send using the app.
Microsoft Teams review efficient reliable easy to use
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Communicate with team members and other departments for easy and effective communication. It can be used as a quick chat, as a communications portals from different departments, calendar events, secured messages with external vendors by adding them to a specific group with restricted permissions and prioritize sensitive information from leaking.
Pros
- Internal and external group chats
- Video calls and video conferences
- Instant chat and calls
Cons
- Integration with other Apps that are used by vendors
- Phone number assignments or ability to do regular phone calls
- Continue to add more AI features to its functions
Likelihood to Recommend
Across multiple teams in an organization, the ability to separate or create multiple groups where the people who is involved can be added facilitates the communication, instructions, updates for the people who need to be aware. This avoids spam messages for team members not related to a specific message that can lead people to miss important information.
Great product highly recommend.
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Teams is used to organise projects into team sites and channels for documentation. It is used in chat groups to keep teams up to date on what is happening day by day. The copilot feature is used to search for messages, files, recordings, transcripts, actions, meeting summaries, etc.
Pros
- Recording meetings.
- Transcripts for meetings.
- Summaries of actions and minutes from meetings.
Cons
- Inability to control appearance of online/offline/away.
- Hard to find discussions in old messages.
- Moving files into Teams from other Microsoft applications.
Likelihood to Recommend
Teams is great as a communication tool for colleagues and, on occasion, for chatting with people from other organisations. It is not very good at keeping messages organised, so they can be found later.
Teams - because everyone else is doing it.
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use Teams to meet with customers for remote training using video and screen sharing. We also use chat to communicate with parts of our larger company in other regions. The screen-sharing/video portion works okay, but the tools for sharing control of a computer could be better. The chat functionality is far inferior to Slack.
Pros
- Integrates with outlook for sharing invites.
- Reminders of meeting times.
- Recording of meeting.
Cons
- Chat: Some channels can have threads. Others cannot. No reason why.
- When sharing screen, the window with attendees video minimizes/shrinks.
- Controls are in different windows in different modes. UI in confusing.
Likelihood to Recommend
The only reason to use it: everyone has it installed, so it is easy to connect with people without requiring them to install anything new. The integration with Outlook to provide a meeting invite is convenient. The UI and terrible chat interface make the above conveniences regrettable. I would use just about any other tool if I could.
A GREAT tool.
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
I use Teams every day. At this point, I never had a problem with Teams. Thinking about something to improve or that can help will open all the Channels created at once. Including the ones I created and the ones I was added to. Sometimes takes me time to find the Channel I need to use. Could be better have the list a little more visible.
Pros
- The App at phone.
- The facility to share files.
- The facility to organize files.
- The facility to view the calendar and see the meetings.
- The @mentions!! not missing any comment.
Cons
- More view to the list of channels created.
- The way to add people in the Chat. Need to be a little easer.

To work live is completely necessary with Teams. No matter if you are working on-site or remotely. For remote persons is a must. To people who are frequently traveling, NEED Teams. Actually, for personal business, it is one of the best tools we can use. At this moment, it is one of the best tools to communicate with others.
