Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have been using free trial of Mobilize to try and understand how can we quickly prompt communities to action in dire times like recent Covid-19 situation. The response that we have received so far has been lukewarm so we're still exploring how can the tool get us the best leverage.

Pros

  • Posting event updates to members
  • Automating feedback collection after every meet
  • Data-driven insights on community engagement

Cons

  • Doesn't help provide top of the funnel audience.
  • Connecting like-minded people to mobilize crowd together for a common cause.
  • The insights can be more actionable.

Likelihood to Recommend

Mobilize is very well suited to add processes around your non profit activities. Especially to host events and intimate your audience in real time about any new and upcoming events. It also automates the whole process to collect feedback from your audiences. Not so suitable to target new audience for your events.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Mobilize to manage our event sign-ups and handle automated attendance confirmations via email and text for both in-person and digital events in support of our advocacy and organizing programs. This has allowed us to take the burden of confirmation off of our organizing team, which enables them to focus on driving new supporters to events rather than confirming existing ones and has significantly cut our flake rates.

  • Automated confirm emails/texts.
  • Integration w/ NGP-VAN tools (EveryAction, Votebuilder).

Cons

  • The cost of Mobilize can be high compared to its offsets for small organizations.

Likelihood to Recommend

Mobilize is well suited to any situation where you are trying to recruit large numbers of attendees for events and confirm them to keep your flake rate low. For our organization, this was true for our in-person organizing events like postcard parties and phone banks before the pandemic as well as for our digital events like webinars or virtual phone banks during the pandemic.
