We send different kinds of notifications to our users. That can be push notifications, sms or emails. For sending sms like OTP, or transactional SMS we are using MSG91. As our app is fintech category we need very good solution for our SMS system and MSG91 is proven to be very efficient in delivering SMS to our customers with no downtime ever faced.
  • APIs for different services are available
  • Very good documentation for the integration of APIs.
  • Dashboard to check the status of SMS sent and performance.
  • After updation in some of policies of TRAI in India the documents needs update
  • Some of the API's have became complicated after recent updates
  • If there could be some alert mechanism that can help to know about reaching quota, or downtime alerts
If you really care a lot about the authenticity and other aspects of SMS to you user that it should reach on time, without lag and security then MSG91 is best suited to do this job. But if you are doing just some promotional email or not so important updates for the users then you can go for a different vendor also which also supports bulk messaging.

After going through all of them we felt MSG91 is more cleaner in terms of integration details and also the support by their tech team. Integration wish Twilio was very good but the dashboard and other features which MSG91 provides were somewhat similar or easy to understand for our team.
