MyDataWork

MyDataWork is a work context layer for AI readiness, built for data analysts, BI developers, data engineers, and data scientists who do analytical work across many tools at once.

Analysts often manage their work across a sprawl of files, dashboards, SQL scripts, notebooks, and workflows — with the context behind that work scattered across folders, email threads, and individual memory. Native platform catalogs (Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, Dataiku, and others) document work within their own boundaries, but none captures the full cross-tool picture or the business context around it. MyDataWork is designed to fill that gap, working alongside existing tools rather than replacing them.

What it does

• Asset cataloging: Catalogs file-based assets across the analyst's toolchain — Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, Excel, CSV, Jupyter, ThoughtSpot, Dataiku, and Looker LookML — using metadata only. File contents are not read.
• Lineage visualization: Infers cross-tool dependencies from file metadata, making upstream and downstream relationships visible, including external data sources not yet cataloged.
• Use case and outcome tracking: Connects assets to the business use cases they support, with baseline, current, and target values that track measurable progress.
• AI-assisted analysis: Surfaces reuse opportunities, automation candidates, external dataset recommendations, and tool-modernization options grounded in the user's documented work.
• Workspace Agent: Reviews the workspace on demand across six checks — surfacing missing stakeholders, unlinked assets, stale work, and assets that have become hidden infrastructure.
• Portfolio reporting: Exports a stakeholder-ready summary of use cases, outcomes, and value as PowerPoint or PDF.
  
  

Who it serves

MyDataWork serves individual practitioners and analytics teams. Team plans use a private-by-default model in which each member's work stays private until shared, with aggregate adoption metrics for admins and no per-member surveillance. A free Explorer plan provides a 90-day workspace for individuals with no credit card required; paid Solo and Team plans add capacity and collaboration features.

Differentiators

MyDataWork is analyst-facing and metadata-only, with no data values entering its infrastructure. It is complementary to enterprise data catalogs and platform-native lineage — adding the cross-tool inventory and the practitioner work-context layer (use cases, stakeholders, outcomes, and value) that those tools were not designed to capture.
