Who Buys & Uses Netstock

Use Netstock for peace of mind.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Netstock for future forecasting, cash flow management, and Stock KPI's. Prior to Netstock, we used Excel spreadsheets, which were high risk because only one person knew how they worked and could use them. Now with Netstock, we have a cloud-based system with multiple users who understand how the system works and can see live what is going on.

Pros

  • Ability to take 3 years of past history and create a projection for future sales volumes.
  • Very clear sawtooth graphs that are easy to read, showing when stock arrives and the implications of early or late deliveries.
  • Ability to manually adjust projections and freeze them where you have projected growth or decline that is not typical of historic SKU Performance.
  • Automatic categorization of SKUs based on sales value and sales volume. Provides clear tags to support decision-making.

Cons

  • The Family MOQ is not taken into account with the look-forward days within the container builder, so this add-on does not work very well.
  • It's not possible to build your own CSV export of reports that you regularly run. The report builder doesn't let you save a set of filters or parameters; it's too basic.

Return on Investment

  • Ability to accurately manage cashflow, with solid forecasting.
  • We've been able to create KPI's for Stock turn, Fill rate, and stock value.
  • It saved a lot of time and took the stress out of projections, as I had a system others could use and trusted, rather than the old Excel sheets.

Netstock Review

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Before using Netstock, we had a visibility problem which meant that we could not predict quickly and accurately the stock levels of a product over the next few months. We work with very long lead times and being able to have good visible and easy to use data is extremely important to both ourselves and our clients. We also used to work in silos in excel spreadsheets, meaning each state worked in its own special way creating a risk for the company, we now have all the same processes and the data is available and explicit to anyone.

Pros

  • Demand Planning
  • Forward visibility
  • AI opportunities

Cons

  • I wish we could see our capacity usage, we have multiple warehouse and it would be good to see how full they are at all time and into the future
  • I wish Netstock could give us insights into why a forecast was not achieved or surpassed, which client bought extra, are there new clients etc... more client analysis
  • I wish there was a view where i could see the projection curve of each product without having to open each product page

Return on Investment

  • Reduction of inventory, we now have the right product in the right warehouse at the right time, or if we do not it gets flagged automatically.
  • We saw an uplift in our team's analytic expertise due to less time on formatting and more time on data analysis.
  • Better customer satisfaction due to increased visibility

Netstock for Wholesaler

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We personally use it most for demand planning and reordering. It has taken the need of manually performed excel workbooks to determine our demand and ordering. Saved significant amount of time on that front. We have used it a little bit for distribution between our two warehouses although not as much as I thought.

Pros

  • Product Specific Demand and Ordering Information
  • Vendor Reordering Ease
  • Projection of Ending Inventory Values

Cons

  • Understanding Fill Rate
  • How to Clean Data between ERP and Netstock without requiring Netstock intervention.

Return on Investment

  • ROI on Reorder and Forecasting Time
  • Automatic Forecasting lacks depth, so hard to understand the layers and calculation behind it. A lot of faith that the setup and algorithms are correct

HVAC WHOLESALE improved visibility

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Netstock for purchase orders for my head office and branches. Using opportunities AI has allowed me to avoid stock outs, get orders sent sooner than later to account for standard lead time.

Pros

  • Tools like forecast, projections help offset large customer orders coming in

Cons

  • navigating filter screen based on user profile rather than seeing all vendors, would be great to create a group based on user and certain vendors, classification, velocity
  • flagging items that are not truely overstock- there was a preseason buy

Most Important Features

  • opportunity screen,
  • projections
  • forecast

Return on Investment

  • highlights excess stock
  • increased visibility on safety stock, order points, able to adjust them on the go so we follow demand instead of reacting to changes.

Netstock Was THE Solution We Were Looking For

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As our company grew and had more buyers managing more and more items, most of them very seasonal, we had much more difficulty keeping an optimized inventory using traditional methods like Min/Max levels and spreadsheets. We eventually had more and more overstocked items and stock outs, and could not keep up with the seasonal trends using "manual" calculations and updates. Netstock has helped us tremendously with its item classification matrix, forecast engine and easy to use interface to keep inventory issues under control as well as streamline the entire purchasing and inventory management process.

Pros

  • Customizable item classification
  • Seasonal forecasting that can be adjusted to taylor our needs
  • Pinpoint top issues to address via the dynamic dashboard
  • Show today's recommended orders in sorted by priority
  • Outstanding customer support team that responds quickly

Cons

  • A little more flexibility in the multi-location and/or consolidation setup would help
  • Lacks the ability to apply "Event correction" settings on specific product groups or categories, it can currently only be applied to all or nothing.

Most Important Features

  • Item classification
  • The forecasting engine which allows us to tackle other duties
  • Its very flexible setup which we were able to adjust almost perfectlt to our needs

Return on Investment

  • Using Netstock, we are saving at between 30% and 35% time managing inventory and orders, mainly because it does almost all of the number crunching for us
  • We have reduced our overall stock outs by an estimated 15-20%, thanks to Netstock's automatic and dynamic calculation of safety stock levels which follows seasonal trends
  • We have finally gained control of our excess stock, reduced by an estimated 20-25%, with Netstock's intuitive dashboard which pinpoints surplus orders and allowed us to cancel or delay orders to cover our real needs
