Easy for me AND my clients to use.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I find more clients are able to complete e-sign on Nitro Pro than on other e-sign platforms (easier for them). Pretty easy for me to use as well, and cost is reasonable. The only disappointment is a recent change where on the entry-level service you are not allowed to send a reminder from their system.

Pros

  • Upload any document/pdf and easily place signature points.
  • Many other optional fields can be added including free-form.
  • Fields can be set to optional or required.

Cons

  • Entry level should allow reminders to be sent.

I use it to get insurance forms signed but really for anything you need signed, it's great.

Really easy PDF editing tool.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Nitro Pro almost exclusively to convert images to PDFs, to combine images as a PDF document, to combine documents into a single PDF, to remove/add pages to PDFs, to rearrange pages, to change the orientation of single pages or entire PDF documents, to add text or edit text, to convert a printed PDF into a searchable/editable document, to add or remove the need for a password to access the PDF and add signatures if the signature doesn't need to be verified (otherwise I use a proper digital signature solution, as I don't have access to the digital signature add-on).

Pros

  • Convert images to PDF.
  • Add or remove pages from a PDF.
  • Convert a printed document into a searchable, editable document.
  • Add, remove, or edit text.

Cons

  • It's not a simple/straightforward process to add or remove the need for a password to access a PDF.

I run a professional services business from home. I need to edit documents quickly and easily and with minimal subscriptions to minimize overheads. I love that Nitro is a one-off payment to get a license to the software, and you can simply upgrade to the latest version if that's what you want, but you're not obligated to. I've been using the same version of Nitro for 7-8 years now. Despite the fact the upgraded versions have a lot of great, nice-to-have features, the version I'm on still does the job.

The better cheaper solution for all your PDF needs.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Nitro for all our PDF needs. We made the switch from the big name in PDF's a long time ago. I use it daily to review quotes for internet circuits. I also regularly create PDF's from content to distribute to coworkers/vendors. As it is an easy format to use and maintain formatting. Sometimes using MS Word is not as cooperative when viewing on different peoples computers.

Pros

  • Fast at opening PDF's
  • digitally signing and text boxes are easy to use

Cons

  • The drawing on PDF's could be easier to use.
  • OCR sometimes gets it wrong

Likelihood to Recommend

Nitro Productivity Suite is a great software suite for those with smaller budgets because the big name PDF company is quite expensive. You might not benefit from Nitro if there are features missing that the big name PDF company has in their software.

Great PDF management software at a low price!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

In our organization, Nitro Productivity Suite is used to create, edit and digitally sign documents. Over the last two years, the pandemic has caused many of us to work remotely. Hence virtual document sharing became more of a priority, especially the signing of important and urgent documents. The scope of my use entailed getting the relevant authorizations for specific financial documents as well as communicating and working with the external auditors.

Pros

  • Documents are converted easily to PDF.
  • The creation of documents signatures.
  • Edits and completes blank PDF forms.

Cons

  • Converting from PDF to Microsoft Word can be complicated at times. Some parts of a document such as tables are not converted properly.
  • Sometimes it appears to be easier to save MS Word documents to PDF rather than using NPS to convert. It can be a bit slow to convert at times.
  • In my view, it wasn't user friendly at the beginning.

Likelihood to Recommend

Being a Nonprofit organization that produces a lot of publications on various projects, NPS allows us to create, edit and convert documents to suit the needs of our International Donor Partners and other stakeholders. In my own experience using this software, it is used less in our finance department since most of our documents originate from our accounting system and hence there is limited need for PDF management internally.

Nitro Productivity Suite is fine for the price

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We needed an inexpensive PDF editor for our 2 person department and Nitro was recommended by our IT consultant.

Pros

  • Easily converts .doc to PDF
  • Makes PDFs editable
  • Unbundles PDF pages

Cons

  • Steep learning curve [in my experience]
  • Edited fields tend to overlap
  • [I feel it has a] clunky interface

Likelihood to Recommend

If you need full PDF editing functionality, Nitro is likely not for you but if you need a PDF editor for minor changes to PDF, it's probably OK.

NitroPro: Good but not perfect.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our office uses NitroPro v12 primarily to view and sign PDF documents. A limited number of staff use the tool to edit PDF documents and the PDF print driver to generate PDFs. It works on 90% of the PDF documents we receive. Some PDFs still require Adobe Acrobat to view properly. The key features we use are:

<ul><li>View PDF</li><li>Sign PDF</li><li>Edit PDF</li><li>Redaction tool</li><li>Prefer the perpetual license purchase vs subscription/SAS model.</li></ul>

Pros

  • Digitally sign
  • Edit and redaction
  • Generate PDF with print driver

Cons

  • Improve viewing/compatibility with all PDF formats.

Likelihood to Recommend

Nitro is well suited for the common tasks we use like include viewing and editing. The redaction tool is very useful when sharing documents with sensitive information. The downfall is we still must use Adobe Acrobat on occasion. Some PDFs will not open, view, or print properly in Nitro.

Nitro Productivity Suite is a great PDF editor & alternative to Adobe

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

All users in our corporate office use Nitro. We use it to view and edit PDF documents that we receive from our clients. We also convert PDF documents to MS Word documents when we have to share parts of those documents to employees, consultants, and others who do not have a PDF editor like Nitro.

Pros

  • Editing PDF documents to complete blank forms
  • Viewing PDF documents
  • Converting PDF documents to MS Word
  • Providing e-signature functionality
  • Editing PDF documents to add page numbering
  • Editing PDF documents to remove text
  • Editing PDF documents to insert images

Cons

  • The font choices could be better and more robust.
  • Sometimes converting PDF documents to MS Word has formatting problems, like with some tables.
  • Converting MS Word to PDF can be slow sometimes, meaning it is faster to save the MS Word document as a PDF than selecting the file for conversion using the Nitro PDF convert option.

Likelihood to Recommend

Nitro Productivity Suite is well suited for PDF viewing and editing and conversion of PDF documents to MS Word. It is also good for e-signatures and PDF post-processing, like page numbering, combining PDF documents, and inserting header and footer information on documents.

Nitro is not perfect and can have issues converting complex items into MS Word, particularly with some tables and special formatted forms. It also doesn't have all the fonts and document editing features that MS Word has.

Nitro Productivity Suite is amazing!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Nitro Productivity Suite is an intuitive product that allows us to read and modify PDF's. OCR feature will scan a document and make it editable. I love being able to combine several documents into one as well as convert PDFs to word, excel, etc. Also love that we can make up a document for contract discussions and the ability to request signature.

Pros

  • Document conversion from PDF to word, excel, ppt, etc
  • Comparing documents
  • Password protecting documents and sharing with specific users only

Cons

  • A little challenging to mark up a document w/ comments
  • The search function is good but not great when using keywords in large documents.

Likelihood to Recommend

Nitro Productivity Suite is a lot more user-friendly than Adobe products, as well as not costing nearly as much. I have used Nitro Productivity Suite is a company with 50000+ employees as well as my new company, which is much smaller. Very robust with great capability to scale up and down.

All-in-one product for documents management

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are currently using Nitro Productivity Suite as the all-in-one solution for managing the documents in our marketing department. We use it all the time, to sign forms using the e-signing feature electronically and we also use it a lot to OCR many handwritten documents and surveys that we use in our campus with students and faculty members.

Pros

  • Easy to use
  • The fasted product in combining and converting files

Cons

  • No mobile app available for IOS

Likelihood to Recommend

Nitro Productivity Suite is the best productivity tool to manage documents files on the computer. The software product is very suitable for editing pdf files with nitro. Also, merging, combining, and converting files works fast and well-using nitro. Signing electronic files is very reliable and easy for our department.

a good value service for a lot of features

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We found this to a more powerful alternative at a lower cost than Acrobat. This gave us a lot of similar functionality, plus more features than Acrobat was offering. The cost was the largest reason we went to this. PDF conversion and e-signature are our most used products in this software.

Pros

  • Low cost.
  • E-signature capability.
  • Edit PDFs.

Cons

  • Could use a more user-friendly format.
  • Not as well known as competitors.
  • Doesn't offer something completely unique.

Likelihood to Recommend

This is a great alternative for an SMB company. The cost is fantastic, the features you are looking for are there and a few you may not have known about. If you're looking for a full-blown Acrobat type program, this is an alternative, but if you're using any other Adobe cloud features, I would go with that.
