Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We mainly use NueMD for scheduling patients and following up on the status of the patients. It's a really easygoing software to use... Adding patients into the database, creating the appointments and moving them around is pretty simple. Even with no training you can figure out how to use the program.

Pros

  • Entering patient's information
  • Creating Appointments
  • Editing appointments
  • Some reports are helpful

Cons

  • Reports
  • Copy and Paste information once the patient's info is saved
  • Copy and Paste information once the appointment is saved
  • More characters available in field for patient names.

We only use NueMD for scheduling and following up with patient, and entering their information... so I will just focus on that. The software does its job, has all the required fields you want for scheduling a patient and to keep their info at an easy access. I do think they need improvement in the Reports feature and the "Back" tool. Some of the reports are really good, some won't ever load and would make the program freeze and crash and some are not even possible to run cause you don't have the option for some filters.

Pros

  • EHR Templates
  • Scheduling
  • Billing

Cons

  • Customer Service
  • Batch Billing
  • Modifying to fit particular needs

Great for MD's clinics. Not so great for chiropractors focusing on personal injury. The biggest issue is with billing. Everything else would be a perfect fit. Their customer service has a lot of room for improvement.

Pros

  • The software is easy to use.
  • Someone with very little billing experience can easily learn to use it.
  • Reports are easy to run and there is a large variety.

Cons

  • The initial transition was challenging as it would have been with any software.
  • Some of the trainers seemed to lack experience with details of the program.
  • They were not familiar with some of the insurances in our local area and did not set them up correctly causing delays in payment.

Likelihood to Recommend

Once the initial transition was complete, the software has been easy to work with and efficient. Payments are coming in quickly and we can identify errors in billing before submission making the process smooth.
