Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Oracle WebCenter Portal is a knowledge base for me to find all kinds of information about any Oracle products that I use or [am] interested in. This is my go-to portal whenever I have any questions regarding Oracle products releases, training, support services or on-demand events, etc. I usually use it as a starting point to find the information I need. I think it's a very user-friendly portal to use.
Pros
- Navigation paths.
- User-friendly user interface.
- Rich knowledge base.
Cons
- Unexpected cryptic error messages.
- The site does not seem to have SSO capability as I have logged into my user account already, but it still can't verify at the Support page
- AI should be built into the portal to auto-assist when error occurs.
Return on Investment
- It's hard to calculate specifically the ROI Oracle WebCenter Portal had.
- After all, this is a portal for users to find information.
- This is a starting point for users to navigate, and it would be dependent on how far the users drill down to get the specific information they need to grow their business.
