We use Nintex Promapp across our entire business. It provides us with a single repository for storing process information that is intuitive enough for the business to update themselves.
  • Intuitive interface that makes process creation and updating a breeze for non-technical staff
  • Constantly being updated with new features and improvements
  • It provides a risk management module as well
  • No real weaknesses come to mind
Well suited to organisations that have processes that stretch across multiple departments.

It is also great for companies that don't have a dedicated process management resource as it is easy for the actual business users to update processes.

Promapp in our company was implemented in 2018. The role of this software is to keep all processes which are executed in McCormick (SSC) in one place. Every single process will be described in the same way. And the main goal is to standardize processes across the different regions.
  • Each employee can have a viewer access and check how a particular process is described, at any time.
  • An easy way to track process changes.
  • The company can set up a process review cycle. So as an example, each process on a yearly basis must be reviewed by the process owner.
  • A good way to standardize processes across an organization.
  • Workflow can be customized by the company.
  • Process presentation is similar compared to Visio.
  • Only an English version.
  • No application for Andriod or iPhone.
This software is dedicated in my opinion for large companies with various processes. It makes life easier with process documentation, and is like a database which can be easily accessible to all employees in the company. I have had a good experience with this tool. It is easy to use Promap and training is not time-consuming. Users usually do not have a problem learning how to use Promapp.

For our own, it is with the firm. For our clients, we are still pitching it but clients are seeing the benefit of having it. For us, we are a consulting firm that focuses on automation. Process mapping is important prior to any implementation and the use of a tool such as Promapp helps to align all stakeholders and those involved in the projects on the final business process to be implemented.
  • Easy to use
  • Clear capturing of the information that can be readily shared.
  • Allowed for dissemination of information to various stakeholders.
  • Perhaps starting price can be lowered with lesser processes.
  • Available for on-premise options for some clients (though pricing can still be subscription model).
  • Perhaps this is something that we are not aware but can the printing of the process be configurable for white labeling?
Well suited - for most clients whose processes are not well documented, especially when they are embarking on a workflow implementation, or going for ISO certifications.
Not well suited - for clients opposite to the above or those that needed on-premise due to need for confidentiality.

As a reseller, we work with clients to identify their business needs - Promapp provides the perfect solution for organisations who require business buy-in for their process maps, and identification of potential automation activities. This ties in nicely with the rest of the Nintex Suite to provide a single-source solution within Microsoft SharePoint/Office 365 or across their framework of business information systems.
  • Promapp provides a clear understanding of end-to-end processes for business users to ensure buy-in and ongoing maintenance.
  • Promapp allows users and SMEs to identify improvements and opportunities for automation to ensure that business operations can run as efficiently as possible.
  • Nintex Workflows allow for automated back-end review processes to be undertaken with limited overhead of users needing to track where things are at at any given time.
  • Promapp's biggest strength in business user design is its biggest weakness in some organisations who prefer standardised process mapping (BPMN2.0), or who are used to seeing everything detailed in a single view. It would be useful to be able to provide a view that outlines all of the activities 'on a single page' for more experienced process analysts.
Promapp is best suited to organisations that require high level business processes to be provided 'front-of-house' for end users, especially those that demand continuous improvement and business ownership of process models, or are planning to add detailed workflow models or automation into their existing business processes.

We have institutionalized the manner in which we do numerous procedures, and effectively prepared those groups. By using Promapp, we're able to keep forms up to date, and when an issue or mistake happens, we can refresh the procedure and documentation, broadly educate the group, and everybody included closes down in affirmation. So responsibility is a major piece of our way of life now.

Now, we're able to follow the work stream of change activities or ceaseless change clear and effortlessly. This has enhanced our execution rate hugely, to the point now where issues in the business have dropped significantly and aren't reoccurring. So we have seen that this general change has diminished work cost as we are not investing energy settling blunders, and we have decreased material expenses as we are not redoing items that had re-occurring mistakes.
  • It has an extremely straightforward configuration that assist clients in viewing and following a procedure effortlessly
  • Promapp is exceptionally easy and intuitive to use, which therefore empowers workers themselves to record their procedures and techniques. It's planned from a 'client encounter' viewpoint, where a client will compose the methodology and the framework will draw the guide for you.
  • It's a cloud based programming, which means it can be accessed from anyplace as long as you have a web connection
  • It very well may be marginally dubious to look for data on the off chance that you don't have the foggiest idea about the correct wording for things (which I shockingly don't yet as I am just new to the position)
  • Mysteriously, some problems that we thought we closed the door on have come up again, so we've needed to return to what we've already finished
  • Can't view or add revision to old activities/sign offs.
Good for investigating the diverse ways your workers can share and collaborate with the material in your Promapp library. Promapp functions admirably with SharePoint. Promapp is a cloud-based device and stores your procedures remotely. You should consider having a reinforcement of material on the off chance that there is ever a blackout, though. I can state amazingly that this is very uncommon and they've moved to AWS for cloud-unwavering quality, yet a few chiefs inside your association may demand a reinforcement "blustery day" plan being set up to get to vital material.

Promapp is used organization-wide to document processes. It is owned and managed inside operations, by our business process improvement team and used broadly, in retail, technology, risk, HR, and operations, just to name a few. It is used for process documentation and process continuous improvement. All staff members have access to Promapp to review processes and suggest improvements.
  • Easy to use
  • Great for searching for processes
  • Good capability for collating feedback on processes for continuous improvement
  • Bit restrictive in categorizing processes
  • Linking processes together is sometimes a bit counter intuitive
  • Some work required to get users to think end to end about processes
It's good when establishing a process improvement capability, to crowdsource the as-is processes. Great for ongoing knowledge management and for keeping processes up to date with review and improvement. Can be a bit political inside the organization, with old procedures manuals and other frameworks that need to be aligned to.

Senex Energy embarked upon a robust review of its entire Business Management System about two years ago. This involved a ground up review of all policies and procedures throughout the company. We wanted a comprehensive tool that allowed us to document processes in a consistent way using a common language. Promapp process flow documentation methodology delivered that. Promapp is used by the entire organisation and is the way that we document and communicate all processes. We also use the Risk Management module as it also connection from the Risk Register to the supporting processes.
  • The Promapp Team have a strong process flow methodology that underpins the software. This facilitates a more consistent and robust review and documentation process - rather than having intricate "if/then" types of process flows it encourages the user to focus on the key points and how to communicate these.
  • Promapp is software as a service in a cloud hosted environment that allows cost effective set up without having to worry about the systems infrastructure. Performance of the application has been consistently good.
  • The team at Promapp actively work with their user community to develop improvements to the system. This community approach is beneficial for teams that are new to comprehensive process mapping and improvement.
  • The training requirements of the system are relatively light given the intuitive nature of the user interface. Obviously as you get more adventurous it helps to have a cadre of committed and well trained users.
  • Some of the linkages in the Risk Module reporting between mitigants and the key risks could be more comprehensive.
I believe that Promapp is a great tool to assist in resetting the way an organisation thinks about documenting policies and procedures. The methodology of keeping process flows streamlined and focused gets people away from the trap of documenting intricate and complex process flows that don't involve the users of the documentation. The ability to link processes to Intranet pages and to share snapshots of a process with third parties are powerful ways to make process management more involving. The ability to manage the companies risk register and link risks mitigations to controls in a process flow is the ideal way to communicate the importance of process integrity - this is a visible demonstration to users about how risk management is being addressed by processes and controls.

Promapp has just recently been rolled out across the whole organisation with training focused by Department. The main goal is to document processes within Payroll Services which can be made readily available to all staff.
  • Version controlled and the ability to go back to a previous version with ease
  • ToDo's and reviews are a handy tool
  • Easy to use and navigate
  • A tracked change tool would be very useful
  • Drafts being made available for others to view so a process is not duplicated to reduce time wastage

Promapp is well suited when sharing processes and making them readily accessible to all.

It becomes more complicated when trying to integrate it with an existing system already used for storing processes.
