Taskworld is used by our organization to help our teams and engineers keep track of the work we're currently working on, as well as what's ahead of us. It's used on a team-by-team basis here, instead of the entire department. The business problem it addresses is how to efficiently manage all the work a team needs to get done for any given time.
Pros
Task Management - It's super easy to track progress on Taskworld. If your team keeps up with it, you'll never wonder where in the project someone is, because it's marked.
Project checklists - Having these to organize out smaller portions of the tasks makes everything so much easier and helps keep track of progress.
Cons
UI - If you're coming from another project management software, the UI may seem a bit complex at first. It takes some getting used to, but it's worth it.
External app integration - If your team likes to integrate your project management software with other tools, you may find yourself a bit limited.
Likelihood to Recommend
Taskworld is well suited for precisely what it does. It's excellent for project management, task progress tracking, and for the different checklists, it offers. A scenario where it may be less appropriate is if you're trying to use it primarily for communication. There are better message boards out there, but maybe not ones that are also project management tools.

For a fully remote organization, we used Taskworld as our web-based office space. Our entire company used Taskworld to manage our projects, tasks, and workflows. It helped us manage all of our clients as individual projects, and helped us track deliverables (typically blog posts) through the pipeline for every individual account. We loved being able to drag and drop tasks between columns, and the multiple location functionality was really great for our purposes. We also used Taskworld for chat functions; like Slack but built directly within our workspace.
Pros
Taskworld is really good for managing projects with many moving parts. The column-task setup lets you organize things visually very well, and the drag-and-drop functionality is great.
Chat is set up well and offers all the functions you might want. Direct messaging, team messages, locked/private channels, custom channels, etc.
Each task can live in multiple locations and be assigned to multiple people all at the same time. Great for teams with many moving parts.
Cons
Taskworld crashed ALL THE TIME. It was so frustrating. You'd notice certain functions not working (like adding an additional location or reassigning a task) and then the whole thing would go down. We lost at least 3 individual business days due to Taskworld acting up.
We often requested features and bug fixes that took forever to be resolved. Taskworld staff was responsive, but issues took too long to resolve. As a small example, the GIF functionality of chat and task communication was down for weeks with no explanation.
Small glitches were frequent and obnoxious. We had to clear caches all the time in hopes that we'd be able to use Taskworld the way it was intended. There were many times employees didn't get notified of their "@ mentions" or weren't seeing notifications at all. It was a nightmare of death by a thousand cuts.

I don't know anything about pricing, but if Taskworld were an inexpensive choice I would say it works fairly well for small to mid-sized companies with complex workflows. It's great for managing tasks that move through multiple-stage pipelines that aren't necessarily linear. However, depending on the price it's not worth the spend for all the technical difficulties it brought. Our company was relatively small (60 employees) and yet we constantly faced "server issues" and bugs and even software-wide crashes that seriously impacted our ability to do business. If you choose to go with Taskworld, be sure you have a solid disaster-management plan in place just in case, because chances are you'll experience bugs on a weekly basis.
