Simple, intuitive, yet robust live chat and chatbot software

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We implemented Tidio for its live chat and automated chatbot functionality. There are a few minor limitations with the service, but it is overall a stellar software that helped us reach more clients and leads where they are on our site. The page-specific targeting via chatbots is a great differentiator.

  • Unable to ban visitors by site referrer (spam sites)
  • Chatbot conditional logic could be a bit simpler/cleaner
  • Occasional issues with the desktop app (in browser never gives us trouble though)

Tidio is well suited for businesses who want to chat with their site visitors in real time. The interface is simple and intuitive, and the user experience on the visitor side is great as well. Perfect for installing on a marketing site, proprietary portal, and more. Can set up an after hours bot to help triage requests from clients and prospective clients when you are back in office.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As a marketing agency, we use Tidio both for our own purposes, as well as our clients'. Website visitors these days have shorter attention spans and are accustomed to chat widgets that can give instant (or almost instant) answers. Even for my B2B clients who don't stay actively online with Tidio to personally answer inquiries, the chat widget generates leads and contacts from site visitors who are less inclined to fill out a traditional web form or send an email. Having multiple contact formats (phone, email, web form and chat) allows visitors to reach out via the channel they are most comfortable with, leaving less traffic to slip through the cracks.

Pros

  • Very intuitive interface and management.
  • Scalable plans that don't require me to purchase features I don't need.
  • Super simple chat bot administration.

Cons

  • A built in call tracking module would be great.

Likelihood to Recommend

It's extremely easy to install and set up. The visual customization is thorough (brand colors etc.). There is lots of help documentation. There is an iOS and Android app for users on the go and built in integrations with CRMs as well as other third-party applications, along with a Zapier API which can connect to virtually any other third-party application.
