Trendtracker

Trendtracker is a software platform for strategy, foresight, innovation, and enterprise risk management. Organizations such as PepsiCo, Siemens, BNP Paribas, Zurich Insurance, and the Geneva Association use the platform to monitor external environments. According to the vendor, the system monitors 19,000 sources and approximately 1 billion documents, including academic papers, patents, regulatory publications, and news media.

The platform provides Trend Discovery to identify emerging signals across various industries and geographies using the PESTEL (Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Environmental, and Legal) framework. The Trend Radar feature maps the maturity and velocity of these trends.

For reporting, the Strategy Brief generates summaries of trend shifts, competitor activities, and startup movements for use in board presentations and planning cycles. An AI Analyst feature provides structured answers regarding environmental shifts based on the user's trend boards.

Trendtracker includes a Trend Database that the vendor states contains over 3,000 scored trends. The Trend Strength Index (TSI) uses a normalized 0–10 scale to score market momentum, regulatory changes, investment flows, technological disruption, and competitive intensity.
