Boring - It's messaging without any kind of twist
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use Twist for project-related communication. Team members are assigned to project chats to help keep conversations focused and on track. This provides for an archive of relevant conversation.
Each project gets its own channel, and the appropriate team members are assigned.
We can post text, share images, and attach files as needed to keep a project on track.
Within each channel, we can have separate conversations for different issues/tasks.
Pros
- Messaging
- Team communication
- Email updates
Cons
- Does nothing to stand out from other messaging apps
- Boring
- Feature parity with everything else on the market
Likelihood to Recommend
If you have no existing messaging solution, Twist is a viable option. I can't find any reason to recommend it ahead of Slack, Spaces, Teams, Discord, etc.
This is one more solution with team messaging functionality, and file sharing, and message archiving/searching.
If budget is an issue, Twist can be replaced with a free solution like Discord.
