With the Webex App, we have all the collaborative tools in a single application, which helped us adopt the technology more efficiently and quickly, maximizing our return on investment. Since our company operates in multiple countries, this solution allows us to communicate quickly and, if needed, instantly add more people to a meeting, share content, and even use collaborative whiteboards. Furthermore, we can use it with both our laptop and our mobile phone.

Pros

Instant collaboration. It's very easy to collaborate with anyone, even if they don't have the app installed. All you need is their email address.
Meeting scheduling for a space. Its integration with the calendar makes scheduling meetings easier for the entire team.
The embedded AI solution greatly helps in sending much more executive and professional messages.

Cons

The Webex App has incorporated many advanced features that have greatly improved it. All the embedded AI development is excellent. I don't have any areas for improvement to mention.

For all the reasons mentioned above, the Webex App is an essential tool for everyday use. Its end-to-end encryption ensures that shared information is visible only to the people we intend to see it. If desired, integration with other applications like Cisco Cloudlock can be used to prevent any leaks of sensitive company information. Message drafting policies can also be defined.

We use it for external meetings and live communications with some customers that do not use Teams (our main communication tool), it helps us connect with service providers, contractors, vendors, or 3rd party solution providers on demos, discussing service changes, fixing issues, discussing solutions or implementations. It allows us to spend longer times, a safe and secure communication platform, easy transcription and note-taking, built-in whiteboarding, great screen-sharing features, and Real-Time Translation.

It's the best for Multilingual meetings, with the live translation feature, it's great for large-scale meetings where there could be a lot of attendance, we use it sometimes for live customer training or broadcasting.

Less effective for quick, frictionless first-time syncs with external clients who do not want to download software or plugins. Too heavy to be used on low specs devices.

I use the Webex app to receive and make calls to out-of-town customers and colleagues. attending meetings and scheduling my own meetings. retrieve recordings, meeting summaries, and transcriptions. collaboration with customers and team members in spaces. retrieving voicemails. Attend meetings that are scheduled in Microsoft Teams. Adjusting my status based on the work needs where focus is required. setting spaces with multiple vendors to enable collective communication and provide documentation. retrieve links and older documents from previous spaces. Another great advantage recently implemented is the use of space for TAC cases.

Sharing the recording of the meeting and summaries with outsiders.

The Webex app is an awesome tool, as it can be accessed on a laptop and a mobile device with consistent sync. I can attend my meeting from anywhere and keep track of all my communication with the app on my phone at all times, never missing a message. With all the improvements implemented, it is very difficult to find a scenario in which it is less appropriate.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Webex App for all collaboration including SharePoint files. Having one spot for any type of collaboration is key for us. We do share a large amount of files with each other so the sync to SharePoint and also searching in a space is key.

In our organization we use the Webex App for IM, Phone calls and meetings. We heavily use it to collaborate with internal staff as well as partners and vendors. We like that Webex App has many collaboration tools in one place (phone, IM, meeting). We no longer have to guess if an employee is available or not. We appreciate that Webex app is available on mobile devices thus making our workforce reachable at any time.

The integration with other Collab tools such as MS office products and share point could be better

We use Webex App as a form of internal communication for both messaging and internal meetings. We also use it to host clients and prospects for virtual meeting rooms. It is a great source of collaboration to be able to easily message team members from all across the world. I enjoy Webex App.

It perfectly fits a company with employees who are remote. It feels like I am at the office with people at times, yet I am in Indianapolis, and mostly everyone else is in Cincinnati. The app is easy to use from a mobile standpoint, and on both the desktop and mobile versions, I have never experienced poor audio or video quality.
