Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Therabill for billing insurance at our three physical therapy practices. Therabill helps to decrease the burden of billing each insurance separately. It saves by time by creating an all in one billing system. There is feedback when they're are errors, they also have support to address issues that you may not be able to figure out independently. Therabill make billing patients easy as well, it populates billing statements for our clinic that look professional and are easy to understand. A huge benefit of Therabill is the reports that help to analyze financials for your business.

Pros

  • Organizes workflow
  • Reports to help analyze financials
  • All in one for billing multiple insurances
  • Customer Service

Cons

  • Customer Services is hit or miss
  • Payments sometimes applied incorrectly
  • Lack of Guidance for set up

Likelihood to Recommend

Therabill is great for small clinic practices because the functions save time, organize billing, and make tracking financials much easier. Reports are easily accessible and easy to read, saving time with tracking . I think that Therabill is suitable for large and small clinics, time saver! I can't really see a scenario where a clinic would not benefit from Therabill.

Therabill by WebPT - good for smaller clinics integrated with WebPT

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It was an effective tool for processing claims and payments for us, but parts of the UI and certain processes were far too tedious and time-consuming for a business of our size (50+ employees). There are various payment posting processes that will require you to enter things manually by person, which for large clinics receiving hundreds of claim payments each day, becomes incredibly bothersome. However, for a smaller clinic wanting to handle their own claim and payment records, I do think Therabill by WebPT would be an effective solution with minimal tedium.

Pros

  • Knowledgeable chat support accessible directly on the site
  • ERA posting can be very simple with minimal manual corrections needed
  • Patient records are comprehensive
  • UI is fairly intuitive, with it being fairly easy to find whatever you're looking for

Cons

  • While knowledgeable, support agents don't seem to speak English as a primary language, so communication can be difficult at times
  • I feel billing secondary insurance is really tedious, having to submit it patient by patient
  • Handling claim denials, corrected claims, and resubmissions is incredibly tedious and difficult, in my experience, requiring a great deal of time and moving across the site to handle one claim at a time

Likelihood to Recommend

For smaller clinics who see fewer numbers of patients or rarely deal with claim denials, Therabill by WebPT would be satisfactory and effective for use. However, because the workflows for handling claim denials and for entering batch payments can be so tedious, difficult, and time-consuming, I would not recommend the suite for businesses with greater quantities of daily claims or complex billing scenarios.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Therabill to send out all claims for our outpatient PT practice and process the payments. I love that it is integrated with our scheduling and documentation software and the claim information flow straight over.

Pros

  • Great integration with WebPT
  • Love the auto posting of patient payments when we apply ERAs - and the ability to not apply if there is a secondary.
  • The Patient statements are pretty easy to send out. Love that we have options to print or email them.
  • The zendesk site answers a LOT of questions and is a fantastic resource.

Cons

  • The reports are a bit hard to understand
  • Support is slower and often does not seem to grasp what we need.
  • I wish we could set claims aside when they needed work so they would not go out when we batch bill.
  • I wish I could just deactivate a provider who goes on leave and stop paying for them instead of having to delete them and reenter later.

Likelihood to Recommend

We have a single location practice and Therabill does most of what we need well. I believe it could easily be scaled to more than one location for others.
