Xperius
What is Xperius?
Xperius is a UX research repository and research operations platform for maintaining traceability between source material, findings, product decisions, and delivery work. It enables teams to analyze research recordings and documents, organize the resulting evidence, publish research reports, and connect findings to opportunities, business objectives, designs, and development tickets.
Key Capabilities
- Research ingestion and analysis: Researchers can upload recordings, documents, and images, transcribe recordings, and create findings from transcript excerpts while retaining the supporting quotation and source.
- Evidence mapping: A project map connects research questions, sources, findings, insights, opportunities, and business objectives without requiring them to follow a fixed hierarchy. Research questions can be marked unanswered, partially answered, or answered.
- AI-assisted workflows: The Qwin assistant can search and summarize repository content, analyze session attachments using a study’s taxonomy, and generate draft findings or study structures. Generated findings remain drafts until a researcher confirms them. Qwin’s context changes with the study, session, canvas, or repository area from which it is opened.
- Reporting and research distribution: Report views use live blocks that preserve the relationships between questions, findings, insights, and source material. Published reports can be distributed through a stakeholder portal with natural-language search, collections, comments, bookmarks, access controls, and engagement analytics.
- Opportunity tracking: Teams can create opportunities from research findings, associate them with objectives or OKRs, evaluate them using impact, value, and effort criteria, record go/no-go decisions, and track ownership and status.
- Workflow integrations: Two-way Jira integration can import ticket descriptions, user stories, and status while attaching research insights to tickets. Figma integration can import design files and prototypes while making related findings available to design workflows.
- External AI access: Xperius supports Model Context Protocol (MCP), allowing an organization to expose its research repository to a selected LLM and use that model through Qwin.
Audience and Use Cases
Xperius is intended primarily for UX researchers, research operations teams, product researchers, research agencies, and research leaders. Product managers, designers, and other stakeholders can use its published research portal to retrieve findings and follow how research-informed opportunities progress. Typical use cases include qualitative research synthesis, institutional research repositories, evidence-backed reporting, stakeholder research discovery, opportunity prioritization, and maintaining links between customer evidence and product delivery.
Technical Specifications
- Information model: Studies, sessions, sources, research questions, findings, insights, opportunities, objectives, reports, and collections.
- Access model: Administrative, researcher, collaborator, and observer roles are documented. Showcase users can query published research but cannot access unpublished studies or session data through Qwin.
- AI governance: AI-generated changes require human approval before publication. Prompt logs are included among the vendor’s documented research-operations controls.
- Integrations: Jira, Figma, and external LLMs through MCP are the currently documented integrations. Other integrations displayed on the vendor’s website are requests for its future roadmap, not confirmed capabilities.
- Commercial model: The product is currently presented as a beta offering. Plans include unlimited users and access to the platform’s core capabilities, with usage drawn from an organization-level credit balance. Unused credits carry over upon renewal. Trial periods currently vary by plan rather than being uniformly 30 days.
