Overall Satisfaction with ActCAD Software
I use this software on a daily bases. I design new houses as well as remodels and additions.
- Easily set up layers with line types, weights and colors.
- Can make multiple view windows in paper space and set a scale for each.
- Import pictures and pdf files effortlessly.
- Easy print manager with windows.
- My major complaint is sometimes the dimensions do not stay where I place them.
- 3D modeling is complicated for me.
- Need to specify wall types and be able to create custom walls.
- Need to have a roof manager to make trusses or hand-stack framing.

- No limit on model space area. Can layout lots of drawings.
- Importing pictures and pdf files
- This is a very powerful program for the money spent.
- We have used this program exclusively for several years now and have drawn 100's of homes.
- Can't tell any difference from AutoCAD which is the program I learned with.
Best bang for the buck is ActCAD. I have reviewed and used other products and they may compare similar software but are far more expensive. I have upgraded ActCAD over the years instead of buying something else.
