Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Captivate Prime
Currently, I am testing Adobe Captivate Prime functions as an LMS for two reasons; the first one to test it within the World Languages Department by creating content for students who are studying asynchronously. Secondly, I use it for internal employee training to create pedagogical materials for teachers in the department in order to improve teaching strategies and network.
- It allows management to see employee / student progress.
- It's intuitive and easy to use.
- It allows users to create content fast and easy.
- Easy to upload content.
- Transferring content form other LMS using SCORM is not always optimal.
- The learning transcript can be difficult to locate, especially with many active users.
- The user reporting feature is limited; I wish it could have more customizable options.
- Asynchronous learners are happy with the course content and overall mobile-friendly UI.
- Good value for money, compared to other LMS.
The help center and community forums are great places to get exceptional support when dealing with questions and troubleshooting issues. It does a good job in creating social networking interactions and learn from other users. The live chat function is also very good, and they are quick to answer any doubts you may have.
It depends on the end use you'd like to give it. Articulate 360 is easier to use compared to Adobe Captivate Prime. It has a similar feel to it and has many authoring options. In my opinion, Articulate 360 can be used by novice users who aren't as experienced in creating content.
