A Solid Service But Not Nearly as Robust as Other Adobe Applications and Not Quite as Dynamic as Software from Other Companies
Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Creative Cloud Express (formerly Adobe Spark)
We began experimenting with and implementing Adobe Creative Cloud Express in an attempt to make a more dynamic online curriculum for our students and programming recipients. The hope was that it would provide us with a more fluid and visually dynamic alternative to a typical presentation/slide platform like Powerpoint or Google Slides.
- Integration with abundant Adobe suite of services and platforms
- Fluid, scrolling content as opposed to static slides
- Nice inclusion of video, photos with more visually-centered focus
- Limited text, font stylings and customizations
- Limited integrations with other non-Adobe apps and platforms compared to best in class products
- Limited customization, even in paid version, when it comes to styling, visual accents, coloring, etc.
- It has served as an opportunity to show stakeholders and clients that we're willing to try new and different platforms to communicate information.
- It did not ultimately make a major difference, good or bad, in our business outcomes. We tried to use it, implement it with our curriculum designers, and test it out with our users. But, ultimately, feedback was that there was little difference, if any, between what we created with Adobe vs. free and unpaid versions of other presentation design apps.
- Adobe suite of services can often be cumbersome in file size for computers and often inset a lot of background processes that slow computer speed.
