Overall Satisfaction with AlphaSense
I use it for information gathering, particularly for ir presentations, events, and earnings transcripts. I use it to keep a list of companies I am interested in, get any related updates or news, and investigate any topics or issues that may come up that are unique such as flooding, bird flu, etc.
Pros
- The sentiment indicator and highlighting of text in red or green to indicate positive or negative
- The ease of use to search for specific documents by limiting to company presentations, major filings, etc
- The ability to create a dashboard with a list of companies interested in
Cons
- Adding prices for some of the financial data they have
- The ability to edit a ticker list. I had them create a list for the sp500, but I cannot edit it and cannot see more than 20 names
- Transcripts
- Presentations
- Conferences or events that companies are having
- AlphaSense allowed me to quickly and efficiently catch up on any news/events for a company without having to scour the web
