Overall Satisfaction with Altium Designer
Hardware developers design PCBs in Altium and push them to Altium 365. When theyre done, their designs will be reviewed and feedback annotated by a senior in 365.
Once a PCB is approved and passes all design rule checks, a release is created within Altium and pushed to 365. When all PCBs for a given revision are ready, we download the "manufacturing" directory of every project from 365 and send it to our manufacturer.
365 is also used by our software developers to check the pin mappings of micro controllers

Pros
- BOM management - with just a little bit of extra care any designer produces a usable bom along with their pcb design ready to be ordered
- 365 - being able to view and review (placing comments) projects without the need to have the software installed locally
- Multi-pcb projects
Cons
- Performance - especially after opening multiple projects altium takes about a second for every single mouse click to register. especially opening and closing any kind of (dialog) window takes a few seconds, no matter how many projects are open. Not even a 13900k workstation helps with that
- Intuitiveness - every time a user needs a specific feature they have to consult the documentation as key bindings and menu placements are never where someone expects them initially. although after reading the documentation its always understandable why a given feature was placed in x location or mapped to y button.
- Because of Altiums BOM management the time we need to order the components for a new batch of PCBs has gone down from a week to one or two days
Ordering components is much faster because of Altiums BOM management capabilities.
Multi-Board projects have become much easier and less error-prone

Reviewing PCBs has become much easier thanks to Altium 365s in-browser viewing and annotating capabilities.
Checking µc pinouts etc... as a software developer is much easier thanks to 365 and not having to install any software locally, then pull, check if the correct branch is checked out, etc...

KiCad is easier to learn and the performance is fine, but BOMs, Footpring-Management, all that had to be done manually
With Altium and 365 everything is just built-in
