Overall Satisfaction with Altium Designer

Its used to connect schematic design directly to layout and bill of materials creation

Pros

Its not perfect, but it's certainly an improvement over previous tools. Sometimes it can be difficult to select particular items and more keyboard shortcuts would help, but overall it's a great tool.
Pretty significantly. Previously used tools were not able to carry data over from schematic to layout and required needing multiple entry points for metadata. This streamlined that process all the way to creating pick and place files for SMT.
It's allowed remote employees the ability to interact with Engineers in the office. Non Engineers can view progress and mechanical Engineers can provide feedback. Sharing data with customers has been great as well.
Altium Designer combined the functions we were using into a single tool.

This is my fourth different CAD software tool and its worked better than any previous tool that we've used. It makes the transition between schematic to layout to purchasing more seamless. Altium 365 also makes it much easier to interact and share data with customers.
