Overall Satisfaction with Amazon EMR (Elastic MapReduce)
To keep my review simple it is very convenient that AWS has a MapReduce tool as it was easy to deploy and test with our cloud setup. Also with AWS being well known it is easy to find staff who can use and set up a system and scale our solutions. Definitely an industry leader.

Apache Hadoop required us to do all the leg work and we did not have the resources for that. It was ideal that AWS offers a MapReduce solution as we use it to host various servers. It is one place for all our needs. Very convenient. Apache Hadoop is still a good product but for us, at the moment we are an AWS shop.
