Overall Satisfaction with Anaplan
[It's being used] Primarily by FP&A and we use it for full company financial forecasting including workforce management.
- Complex formulas that interconnect seamlessly through entire model
- Secure source of truth for forecast data
- Reporting - Hyperion Essbase/Smartview is so much easier; Excel add-in for Anaplan is not an option because it can only handle small amounts of data
- Year over Year variances are key functionality that are not easy to do
- Being able to lock versions ex: setting a plan version and making sure it never changes
I was not here when we chose Anaplan. Forecasting wise I think it is an excellent tool. It is not even close to Hyperion when it comes to ad-hoc reporting with Excel add-in.
