Overall Satisfaction with AppDynamics
AppDynamics is a great application. It has helped us detect application bugs, hardware problems (based on trends) and network issues within our network. Currently, our supply chain is using AppDynamics.
- It provides a break down of trends based on a baseline. This gives you an idea on how the application is performing.
- The ability to drill down and look at the application code is extremely helpful.
- The application has the ability create its own baseline, which by far is one of the best features.
- Functionality on certain features such as reporting.
- Features on alerts that are out of the box.
- Lack of documentation regarding upgrades and new features.
- It has had a positive impact because anytime there is an issue, we go to AppDynamics first to see what the root cause could have been.
- We have been providing transaction snapshots to vendors for troubleshooting.
- So far, I have had nothing but positive feedback from other team members on the functionality and how other team members are using the application.
I didnt like any of the functionality or the layout this application provided. I saw the growth with AppDynamics and the possible potential mainly because we have visibility to the actual application code. This is one of the best options by far to ensure the vendor fixes bugs in the code.
