Overall Satisfaction with AppRiver

We were using it to cut down on the amount of spam we were receiving. It helped us to minimize these malicious emails that cost our company time and money.

Pros

  • There are a lot of options for filtering. You can do so by domain, email, and even countries.

Cons

  • It didn't block spam well enough. We constantly had spam and spoofed emails come through that many people thought were legitimate. Became a bit of a problem for us.
  • Emails got through that were blatantly scams if you looked at the headers, but the content was believable and we had users who believed and we lost thousands of dollars due to a scam. It really should've blocked the addresses they were coming from, but it didn't.
SpamTitan doesn't have as much granular settings, but it is far superior at blocking malicious emails.
Their team seemed knowledgeable, but their suggestions rarely helped.
