Overall Satisfaction with Apptio Cloudability

My company uses Apptio Cloudability to manage and optimize our cloud costs. We are a large enterprise with a significant cloud presence, and Cloudability helps us to gain visibility into our cloud spend. Cloudability provides us with a comprehensive view of our cloud costs, including costs from multiple cloud providers, accounts, and projects. This visibility helps us to identify areas where we can reduce our spending and Allocate costs to business units. The scope of our use case for Cloudability is broad. Cloudability also supports our FinOps practice, which is responsible for optimizing our cloud costs and investments.
  • We use Cloudability to generate monthly cost reports for each business unit. These reports show the business unit's total cloud spend, as well as a breakdown of costs by cloud provider, service, and project.
  • We use Cloudability to rightsize our instances. Cloudability can help us to identify instances that are overprovisioned or underprovisioned. We can then resize these instances to optimize our costs.
  • Cloudability currently supports a wide range of cloud providers and services, but it does not support all of the services offered by Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Cloudability has helped us to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, such as rightsizing our instances and terminating unused resources. As a result, we have been able to reduce our cloud costs by 15%.
  • Cloudability has given us a comprehensive view of our cloud spend, including costs from multiple cloud providers, accounts, and projects. This visibility has helped us to better understand our cloud usage and costs.
