Overall Satisfaction with ApptioOne

We used it to help drive cost savings across the business. We found that it was a powerful tool to give insights into where we were spending dollars on IT. The insights that we gained allowed us to trim costs on services and apps that were no longer providing value to the business. Apptio is now a core piece of our monthly financial process.

We are able to take multiple different file types and normalize them inside of Apptio to give one full picture of our IT spend.
  • Helped give us control on what services are spending
  • Allowed us to charge our other lines of business for their IT spend
  • Stop paying for servers and apps that are no longer in use
Sometimes Apptio support does not solve issues in the fastest manner. There are a lot of bugs that we ran into and we sometimes get a response that it is a bug in Apptio and that there is no solution. They do a good job however give workarounds in those situations.

We are able to see our IT spend as a whole all in one place. This allows us to make business decisions in a proactive manner rather than being reactive.

Anyone that is looking to get more transparency in their IT spend. With Apptio they can help identify where IT spend is being consumed and by who. Apptio helps keep the consumers of IT accountable for the costs that they acquire. Apptio can also be very helpful if you are a service based business to keep those costs in line.
