Determining cost of IT operations across a healthcare system that has individual needs for each hospital and specialty.

Pros

  • Reports
  • Gathering Data from multiple sources
  • Allow users other that Finance or IT to see the cost of operations

Cons

  • Introduce new ApptioOne users to reports and how to get the information they want
  • Apptio BI is difficult to use unless you know very specific information that you want to pull in my opinion.
We are using the forecasting to show how units and departments will be spending based off of historic finance data.
  • Increase the working relationship between IT and Finance
  • Identified applications that are either being underutilized or not getting value out of
The team is always available to answer questions and they work diligently to resolve problems. They take the time to hear what you want and work with you to get the deliverable.
We do not currently use other Apptio products in our department
